Ever since I saw GIFs of this anime online I wondered what the plot was even about. The anime is slice of life with some shenanigans and just boring day-to-day high school stuff. It does reinforce the idea that if you truly want to get a band together and make music it's not impossible. Albeit, this is fiction and it is a school club they are in rather than something outside that someone has to fully commit to. But when watching this it reminded me of when I was in high school with friends who wanted to be in a punk/ska/metal band and later deathcore. Which would happen for others, but not so much for myself. In K-on! the girls are living their prime in youth, not too old to feel miserable and yet young enough to make goofy mistakes. That may be the reason why so many series are based around that teenage years of life that we as adults cannot go back to. However, youth doesn't dictate what anyone's prime is. Anyway, I'm ranting on. If you're looking for an easy going anime about music and friends I highly recommend.
