Naïve yet caring, JYOZE is a piece of singing software that broke free of the virtual world in search of their own independence, their own musical expression and to experience the thrill of reality.

Jyoze has an official website hosted on Wix. The voicebank I’ll be talking about is under [PRIMARY] and is at the top of the page. Downloads are hosted on mediafire for all banks. The CORE voicebank is about 195 MB when unzipped.

First Impressions

JYOZE CORE is a 3 pitch CV with a power and soft append. His voice is intended to be natural sounding but the default resampler noise adds a sort of quirkiness and character, especially to the high range. There are nine pitches including the two appends, and it does not come with frqs.

Configuration

There is full phonetic coverage in the reclist, including extras like “hu” “wu” and “tu” as well as end breaths and vocal fry for every vowel. There are no vowel transitions, so some editing is required for smoothing envelopes between vowels.

The oto generally has very small overlap and preutterance, fitting for most CV banks, which makes the overall delivery sort of staccato-like. 

His high range is much weaker than his low range, which is from about G#2-B3.

I prefer the tone/pronunciation in the power append most, it’s the least slurred and I like the accent more. However it’s more of a solid append than a pure power one. The appends are overall subtle and can easily be used together.
