Pianos and Clockwork: with clocks we play, and waste the day away; one of our muses is at the piano attempting yet again to master Clocks, the other happens to walk by the door, enticed by the music…by the end of the day, they are playing together…rain a soft pitter patter on the windows.
Fingers danced on the white and black keys. In search of the right notes, they rushed to reproduce the melody perfectly. Any slightest delay could be heard, but only a few would really pay attention to those subtle flaws.
And she was indeed among the minority.
Another mistake was made, causing a grown to slip past her lips. Countless redoes were executed so far and each all ended at the same error, causing a snicker to be heard, despite how low it was. The other presence wasn’t ignored, but one would prefer being left alone, mostly due to the embarrassment adorning her cheeks whenever she was reminded of it. It wasn’t no surprised that her timid side was showing. Since she was herself a fan of his group, he was giving extra pressure just by sitting near her, reproducing the same melody, but with the difference that he wasn’t making any mistake.
"You shouldn’t urge to do these notes even if the tempo differs slightly." He was calm and patient, just like how he seemed to be. Junhee wasn’t sure if it was due to him or her nervousness. Why would she be making the same mistake repeatedly? She knew that it would anger her to no end, but she couldn’t show any sign of it in front of him. Already, she was incapable of saying much due to how embarrassed she was.
However, after many tries, she finally succeeded. She bounced off the bench, jumping around the piano. “I made it! I made it!” She was in her own world, celebrating. Yet, that didn’t last long as the other clapped at her, showing a little satisfying smile. Oh. She quickly calmed down, or more like forcing herself to. A bow was made out of reflex, a move that could easily hide the blood rising to her cheeks once again. Oddly, the soloist hadn’t noticed the time passing by rapidly, neither the drizzle that complimented the song.
"Thank you." She mumbled as they found their way to the exit. Something was telling her that this wouldn’t be their last time meeting one another under the same circumstances. Yet, she didn’t add more and bid farewell, the gap between them growing at a slow pace.
We’ll meet again. See you next time!
