Anonymous: why does everyone want to hate on you. you can’t even breathe without an anon saying that you’re breathing wrong

well guys, i mean i am literally The Worst™ all the time. and i need to be called out for and reminded of that on at least a semi regular basis.

So I kind of forgot to post it. But it’s in my drafts (somewhere), so I’ll just polish it a bit and post it this morning.

It bothers me too for the same reasons! Like the men all fight together bc they know each other and have personal relationships and anecdotes whereas the women have been so isolated within their groups as "the only girl" and it cheapens it

As a reader I would find the second more interesting I think? It sounds like more turmoil and possible angst and development and overall the whole thing sounds super neat

It was devastating for me when I first saw it because ... I guess I don't know if she's happy or not, and I can't help but worry about it. She's definitely reaching for a life where she has a chance at being happy, but to her, that means utterly rejecting who she was before. It's obvious she can't face that part of herself again--and it's a whole mess of things that she's ashamed of: her initial insecurities, her betrayal, her trauma. But the one thing that still seems to be the same is that she believes it's easiest (and better!) to drive away the people who are trying to help her. She doesn't want Beast Boy around because he reminds her that her actions can get other people hurt, and I think she's just so desperate to fight against that side of herself that she'd rather become someone else entirely. And if I knew that would work, I could be happy for her, I could believe that she's going to heal. But the tone of the whole episode doesn't make me think that. It makes me think this is another confusing, gray area where there are no good choices for her, and it's hard to know whether this is a step in the right direction or not.
