Hi na rin pala Kat (http://lookwhatthekatdraggedin.tumblr.com/)
Good night guys!
Overcoming Fear
Remember I've told you guys that I got hit by a motorcycle way back 2009? Well, I never really got on a bike after that. It's been two and a half years since and now I've tried to get over it. And I went extreme just to push me out of my comfort zone.
So my friends invited me to go biking with them from Cubao to SM Mall of Asia. At first I was like, have you guys gone mental, then I was like, what's stopping me? So I decided to find my balls, attach them, and said yes.
It took a bit of effort to find a bike I could borrow for me and another friend but it's a good thing I've got a family of cyclists. Finding a bike to borrow was cheesecake, actually borrowing it was the challenge. But I got them so that's that.
We met up at Cubao and they forced on me around six Dunkin' Donuts Munchkins. Well, I didn't mind but they had me eat it quickly 'cause they said that I took so long borrow the other bike that I'd be using.
Anyway, I'd like to cut the story short. I'm actually getting tired just typing this. So our first stop was at Gilmore. Two of them took so long so we hung out a bit under the Gilmore LRT station. Funny that I saw this headline and something else came to mind.
They told us that we need to head to the second stop since they went the wrong way and it'll be easier for them to head there. So our next stop was at V. Mapa before heading off to PUP area.
They grabbed a bite then we headed off again. We stopped by the house of one of the guys who lived near Malacanan. We refilled our water bottles then headed off again. This was where the hard biking started. Weaving through traffic was a real feat.
Then we stopped in front of Manila Ocean Park, but Sherlock's (http://justsheerluck.tumblr.com/) bike started to die slowly on him. Then we went on again and had another stop at the Navy HQ.
Then from there we went straight to MOA. Finally! Then we ate lunch at around quarter before 3 then hung out a bit until the sudden torrential rain stopped.
To say that we were tired, half-way through, deserves the understatement of the year award. But the daunting act of biking back home presented itself compounded with the fact that it was raining. Funny how life really gives us shit to work with right? Right, but there's more.
We found out that Lock's tired was flat and when we were at a gas station, it wasn't just flat, it had a hole somewhere and it had to be replaced. We walked our bikes to the nearest vulcanizing shop, which was a few kilometers away, then we ended up walking all the way to Cartimar. Damn, that was a long walk.
But that tiring shiz all went away when I got to practice my sign language asking for help. It gave me such joy to know that I got to really use my signing skills. Both me and Earl could sign so he felt exactly the same way.
So biking all through that traffic, all the way from Manila, to San Juan (my friend Aych's home - http://mrswho.tumblr.com/), then back to Project 4, it was super tiring. Superlatives can't express this physical exhaustion. LOL!
So there you go! It was quite a wet and wild day for me. Tiring, but all in all quite fun and freeing. Now I know that I can bike my way to places, again, and further than before.

Productivity? What productivity?
Well, I did manage to... uhm? Oh what the, I did nothing today at the office. But I did hang out with my friends at X tonight. After the longest time. I miss them a lot!
Must sleep now. Biking later with Lock, Aych, Joysi and Earl.

I can't be bothered
Less time for the internet. I've been concentrating on work and friends. I'm liking it.
Babae sa Septik Tank with a friend then an entire evening and morning of a very good friend, talking and becoming sharing our views of life and love.

Yesterday, I took up courage and wore it up against my sleeve. Balls, I've heard is in fashion, only hard to pull off. Apparently, it did not suit me thus I crash and burn.
Partly bruised, completely hopeless, I bore the shame of the holes from my tattered attempt for a statement, a period, a chance. But heaven bless them, people dear to me, answered my plea, my call for company, and for a time I forgot.
(days to words - 198)
The weight of my woes continue to mark on my back, tracing it's presence, etching its mark, yet I refuse to let go, to let up. I felt the strength that I didn't know I still had and rode through the day.
But my strength was needed elsewhere, within the weakening columns of the halls of a friend's peaceful mind. I heard the cry for help and heeded, answered and hopefully exceeded, that of which was asked of me.
How I pray that my words would carry him through to face his dreaded fear.

OMG why didn't I think of following a Charmed Tumblr account until now?
Thanks Baks!
