Post 8 Facts About Your Muse. Then Tag 8 People to Do the Same.
Tagging: Ummm I already did one of these and tagged people in it sooo... You! Whoever you are that is looking at this, consider yourself tagged. @flockofpan @drorah-walksÂ
1: She doesn't sit in chairs normally, or lay against floors or press back against walls normally. Even if they are hidden Rumple hates having her wings more restricted then they already are, and dislikes the feeling of things pressing against them and pinning them. It makes her feel trapped a bit because they are important to how she moves. So she is always, always at a slight angle or tilt. Just enough to give them room to move around. I might not always describe this per say, but it's still the case. As an additional note although people generally can't tell this due to her glamours, all of her shirts and jackets are modified to let her wings through.
2: Rumple has never regretted fulfilling a Deal*, or killing**. All things have a Price, and it's not her fault people don't see the full Price. She is a Predator and is open about her distaste for Rudeness. She makes Deals, she kills, it's who she is.
*Exception is regrets in fulfilling a Deal WHEN AND ONLY WHEN the full outcome and Price was something she did NOT foresee and so did not intend. When things slip out of her control, or go to an extent she did not intend it upsets her. How much depends on the exact circumstances.
**Exception here is the times when either A: Someone has taken her Blade, enslaved her, and forced her to kill particularly children. The children part really messes with her head. B: A Deal slipped out of control or when to an extent she didn't intend and people get killed. Once again, particularly if children are involved.
3: Rumple's father was the one who made her wings all tattered, and that incident cemented her belief in Deals, Prices, and a lack of any need to inform others of the Full Price. After all if her own father didn't inform her of the Full Price of her Deal with him for information, why should she tell others? Let them learn the same way she did. So ya her mother started the lesson and belief. Her father ended the lesson and cemented the belief.Â
4: One part of Rumple absolutely adores the idea of having a child (although she never really admits it to herself or others). A family to enjoy, a child to love, another Fae to teach and train and bring up. Someone to pass along her knowledge to, and to make her life a bit brighter and more worthwhile. Someone that could learn from what she has gone through, and then pick their own path while hopefully doing better then she did. She would never ever give up a child unless someone forced her to somehow and she would be obsessed with finding the child again... However Rumple is also deeply afraid of the idea because what kind of mother would she make? In her opinion likely a bad one, and possibly a very bad one. If that idea scares her, the idea of being left by herself to raise a child alone absolutely TERRFIES her for a range of reasons.
5: Rumple doesn't really like fast food places. She'd rather just step into a supermarket and get some fruit and beef jerky if it comes to that. They are too bright, too human, too noisy, too fake, too annoying, and don't actually have all that good food. She doesn't judge others for eating at them, but she doesn't like them. If anything she'd rather take fifteen minutes to make some Kraft mac and cheese with some diced ham or something added in... If you take her out on a date or an outing in general and it ends up at a fast food place she will be silently judging you. The exception is A: mall food because it's at the mall and B: if it's a quick visit for a slushie and soft serve ice cream to add into the slushie.
6: Rumple likes small quiet hole in the wall restaurants, family owned if possible, with good food and good polite service. If she finds a new one that catches her interest and then they do a good job she will keep going back at least once or twice a month. Doing a good job typically includes being polite while not being intrusive. If she really likes a place and finds out they are going to end up having to close due to money issues the owners typically get some kind of windfall. She never ever considers actually making the place famous though. Rumple wants to keep it quiet and nice, for her. Not make it crowded and busy and loud with others enjoying it as well. Selfish Fae? Maybe a little bit.
7: Rumple hates arcades. She likes the concept, but with her hearing it's simply too much noise for her. Not so much the volume of noise per say, but the wide range of them. People talking, fighting games, shooting games, prize winning games, tickets being dispensed, all the chimes and bells, dancing game music, racing games. It gets to be too much for her, and in fact will give her a migraine that has her stumbling back outside with hands covering her ears not caring who sees.
8: Something I don't think people realize. Rumple is still young by Fae standards, and in a lot of ways is relatively (mentally/emotionally) developmentally young. Not as in teenager or some such, but young adult. By human standards she's basically in her mid twenties, but with a lot of life experience. Some of that experience has been bad, some of it has been good. Regardless she still has a lot of growing and changing to do. It really wouldn't be that hard to either make her swing completely over to being just a heartless cold controlling manipulative game playing Winter Court Fae, or a more cheerful Summer and Spring Court Fae who cares about her friends and loved ones (albeit while still being entirely willing to kill anyone who hurts her and hers) who chills and stops making her Deals quite so one sided.
This doesn't just mean âoh love her and all will be wellâ either because a LOT of relationships don't actually change who she is. People have a habit of either simply accepting who she is, or not accepting it. Very few if arguably any have really tried to get her to grow and evolve and change. One person has been approaching it and what not at least with trying to get Rumple to think more of happiness rather then just surviving buuut then we kind of created a huge ANGSTY thread.
Note: This wasn't a complaint, and honestly I LOVE seeing people just accept Rumple. I would actually love to see who/what Rumple will become if she gets to be happy and with a friend or romantic partner that just accepts her and encourages her. It's just going to take time... a lot of time.
