Hell week is upon us. Between surgeries, running experiments, holding office hours, meeting prospective undergrads who would like to work/volunteer in the lab, peer reviewing, writing a critical appraisal, and writing my year-end, basically-a-draft-of-your-thesis-introduction research report, there has been little time to breathe and sleep (the combination of the two would be greeeeeat right about now). Oh and I didn’t get any of the major funding opportunities for next year. Oh and I’m broke. Yay, grad school!

busy week this week
- worked a million hours in the lab so far
- Took care of my TA assignment for the week and had to stay another hour extra in the lab I teach to help take care of stragglers and to clean up
- study for my exams when I get back from spring break
- have to make a poster on my research for the research symposium this Friday
- Therapy and share oodles of stories with my therapist from my past 2 weeks.
- I was nominated to be a representative for the chemistry graduate student association for masters students and people have been voting for me because I know literally everyone so.......?????
- Pack up for my trip to Tallahassee for a bit of my Spring Break
but at least this weekend i'll be with all my closest friends and wonderful brothers from my fraternity and it will be a blast. I miss them, and I love them and they're all excited to know that I'm coming down to visit.

i just turned on my PS4 for the first time since early January just to hit up some GTAV or CoD to relax myself, and I already feel like a disgusting lazy piece of shit who should feel ashamed of himself and should go do something more productive instead just 3 seconds after turning it on.
Also I have a lot of updates to install through PSN anway so......lol no choice but to go back and being an adult.

AMAZING THINGS HAPPENING
So I just have to gush about the weird and amazing literary world I am gradually becoming a part of:
Discovery 1: This semester I am taking a course with professor Levi Romero who, as it turns out, is a renowned New Mexican poet. Discovery 1.5: When I looked him up on Amazon I saw that he has been reviewed by the majestic storyteller and Pulitzer Prize finalist Luis Urrea, whom I had the great pleasure of meeting and conversing with a few years back at UTSA.
Discovery 2: I went to a talk by professor Maria Cotera, who, as it turns out, wrote her dissertation on the same topics I am currently researching. Her current project is still young and her research is still growing. Here's to future potential collaboration!
