Just Because! Binge watching half-time report! Six episodes in and I find it enjoyable with it warm feeling. Athrough slow at times but then again, I don't fuck with anime dramas like that. I'm liking how each main characters' side story and arcs impacts the overarching story of this show as we have Soma confessing to Hazuki (despite being shot down at first [which is something I don't really like]), Ena crushing on Eita and Mio feeling some type of way about it. I'm digging the narrative themes of this anime such as life changes, planning for the future, and the end of high school. Speaking of, shout out to Pine Jam for not only making an anime that feature senior students dealing with leaving school and the challenges that comes with a new chapter of life, but also making the main character just an average nigga despite him being a transfer student. I'm sick of these "special and mysterious" transfer student MCs in anime lmfao. I'll tell ya what I think about the series after I'm done with it. #justbecauseanime #justbecause! #anime #pinejam

Peep this screenshot from Just Because! real quick. The name of the song the band plays during Eita and Haruto's one-on-one baseball game is called "In Unison", right? Ya noticed how incredibly fitting the title of this song is? The strong, brass fanfare music the band builds up as Eita and Haruto get into their friendly match transitions light strings as Eita pitches Haruto a home run, the animation of each character's action and emotion went with whatever they were doing at the time. About ten minutes in the new anime "Just Because!" and I'm liking it. Its a very warm, mellow and easy watch as it explore the lives of 3rd students in their final months of high school.
