#just... busy

Yeah yeah, general blog’s over here.  I have to confess to not paying too much attention to the behind the scenes workings when it comes to media I consume.  This is especially true for cartoons, which, left to myself, I prefer to just passively enjoy, soaking in the the story and characters, and not getting paying too close attention to, say, how any particular scene is animated, or which team draws faces or handles pacing what way.

As such, while I could tell you all about my favorite shows, episodes, or characters, I have less to say when it comes to particular creators, artists, or performers.  So when I say these are my favorite board teams, I mean more that they are the board teams that have worked on more of my favorite episodes, and I can’t concretely point to any of their particular skills or quirks that might have contributed to my enjoyment of those episodes, or whether I would have liked those episodes just as much or more under other teams.

Anyway, all that disclaimer out of the way, for Steven Universe it would be Johnston & Liu.

For Adventure Time, Muto and Sugar, at least while she was working on that show, by a wide margin.

In fact, when it comes to Muto & Sugar on Adventure time, ignore all of the above blathering, their episodes were pretty distinct, even for a viewer like me who wasn’t really paying attention, and their work in particular was a key part of why I first became attached to that show.
