unpopular opinion: i'm dreading tomorrow night like i dreaded april 6th.

I can't stop thinking about how over time my fave characters have gotten absorbed into me? It's mainly with Hetalia, particularly Gil and Art, but like... Sure, I have leagues of headcanons for their nationverse but I have literally built them lives in my fantasies with so many OCs the fill out there family, Gil doesn't just have his brothers n Germania as a dad but a big extended family with an ancient great grandma that might have fucked a bit too much considering how many cousins there are- His actual grandma was a gambling, drunken slut and yeeted his Mother in some orphanage until his great grandma tracked her down. Germania parents were crazy hippies that lived out in the woods and both died and eventually he was found and brought to civilization and met this vaguely catholic albino woman full of trauma and was like "I can love her." No fixing needed, she's just selfish and has abandoment issues HJGFDS AUSTRIA IS GIL'S ELDEST BROTHER, SECOND ELDEST IS VASH AND THEN GIL, THEN LICHTENSTAIN AND GERMANY Gilbert has so much mother issues, he is his Vater's little soldier his trooper, his 'easy' son :)) Mother dislikes Gil because he looks most like her own Mother in her eyes. So he's constantly vying for her attentions that consistantly sit on the shoulders of Austria, her artistic and well mannered son, her favourite. So he becomes an extreme perfectionist, becomes everything Germania could want him to be because at least he can hold his attention. He's a prodigy in everything, he has never disappoined his Father, not ones he swears it, until he hits the wall, he fails and he fails at such an important point and it crushes him, he's spiraling and the burnout is hitting and he feels no love and nothing. Lil siblings comforting him, Ludwig and Lili ;w; bring Gil flowers and probably a baggy for cheerios and he feels a little better- ideal big brother of fun era begins. He cares not that his grades have slipped, he drops out of his sports (he was doing 4 sports and now he has so much free time!) he just does enough to pass school and he is no longer constantly trying for parental attention. But even that goes wrong, Germania was just sad for him, not upset with him, but he's woods grown, he doesn't know how to be emotionally there for anyone other then to do the things he always does for them to show nothing changes win or lose. Mama is out here growing more and more annoyed, pestering Gil, telling him to start going to church with her again- Only her and Gil use to go to church. Aleric is happily unbeliving in organized religion and told his wife the kids only go if they want to- Gil was the only one that went for maternal attention hgjkfdls. BUT UGGH HE IS MY LIL GUY, THESE CHARACTERS ARE JUST... MY OCS NOW <:3
