wh: when asking why he can, there’s another question - why can’t he? he has talent and he added his own effort and hard work. anyone’s success isn’t because of one thing alone, it’s a lot of factors together

qf: in everyone’s success you only see the good side but you might not know of the effort they’ve put in behind

Damn would it be dramatic if it happened during the exhibition though.

Coughing up goo and suddenly collapsing in front of everyone. One hand hangs limply off the edge of the stage as the crowd scrambles away in horror and disgust. All the while, the eyes remain open, staring blankly at them but completely sightless, dead to the world.

HOWEVER, the hurt if it happened in front of people he cared about somewhere quieter. Especially if it was just after a fight or even a really touching moment. Like if everyone was celebrating the exhibition suceeding.

Rachel, Jasper, Lanyon, and Jekyll alone in a room together, popping open old bottles of champagne to celebrate the occasion, laughing and having a good time.

Then, Jekyll freezes with a choked noise, clutching at his own chest.

At first, nobody's really concerned. They think he swallowed some champagne wrong. Rachel laughs about it while Lanyon slaps him on the back a little to try to help him cough it back up.

Yet, they steadily begin to notice that the noises he's making are definitely pained and not in a "swallowed my drink wrong" kind of way. The merriment gives way to an uneasy air as Rachel tries to ask Jekyll what's wrong.

Then, he coughs up a glowing goo and everyone flinches back. His eyes roll back in their sockets and he pitches forwards, collapsing to the floor before anyone can catch him.
