           GOTHAM  CITY ,     USA,     the         national          shit - stain          capital          of          america          wrestles          around          in          its          own          filth          and          scum          in          the             oncoming          weeks          of             the           holiday           season.           THE   ANNUAL   CHRISTMAS   LYNCHINGS          take          place          in          the          center          of             the          city,          dying          magnolia           wreaths          swinging          from          the          gothic          architecture          of          one         up  and  coming          city          and          the          neon   webbing          of          plastic           christmas          lights          haphazardly          hanged           like           carcasses           in               a          butcher’s          closet.          on   the   first   day   of   christmas ,          GOTHAM       GAVE      TO      ME:          a           strung - out            crack            addict            dead           and            a             cold            cup            of            black            coffee.

JIM:   This  conversation  is  over.  Under  no  circumstances  are  you  allowed  to  leave  this  house  after  dark,  okay  ?  This  isn’t  up  for  discussion. 

BARBARA:   YOU  CAN’T  DO  THAT!  I’m  not  a  child,  Uncle  Jim.  You  can’t  keep  me  locked  up  here  like  some  little  pet  you  have  to  protect.

JIM:   ENOUGH,  BARBARA!  THIS  ISN’T  CHICAGO.  YOU  CAN’T  GO  RUNNING  AMOK  THINKING  THERE  AREN’T  CONSEQUENCES.  WHEN  YOUR  MOTHER  ASKED  ME  TO  KEEP  AN  EYE  ON  YOU,  I  GAVE  MY  WORD.  MY  WORD  IS  MY  BOND.  SO  LONG  AS  YOU  LIVE  UNDER  THIS  ROOF,  YOU’LL  LIVE  BY  MY  RULES.  SCHOOL,  THEN  HOME.  UNDERSTOOD  ?

I FUCKED UP.         barbara’s           here            not            even            a            full            weekend            and            we’re            already            fighting.            not   her   fault,            she’s            a            good            girl.            she’s            got            a            good            head            on            her            shoulders.           it’s   this   city.            something’s            awakened            within            gotham            and            the            psychopaths            running            around.            i            guess            the            realization            that            we            really            aren’t            alone            in            this            universe            has            shaken            this            city            to            its            core.            haven’t            told            ann            about   the   alien.            don’t            wanna            scare            her            anymore            than            she            already            is.            pregnancy’s            too            early            for            any            surprises.            we  can’t  lose  another  one            ...            she            won’t            be            able            to            handle            it.            LORD  KNOWS  I  WOULDN’T  EITHER.       MERRY   CHRISTMAS    BABY,      here’s            to            another            year            in            hell.

     IN  THE  SULLEN  DARKNESS  ARRIVES  TWO  BRIGHT  SPOTLIGHTS PEERING  DOWN  AT  THE  ABANDONED  FACTORY,  A  BLACK  LIMOUSINE STROLLING  THROUGH  THE  LOT  IN  SILENCE,  AS  IF  IT  SHOULDN’T BE  THERE  IN  THE  FIRST  PLACE.  JIM  GORDON  TAKES  SIGHT  OF   THE LICENSE PLATE: “𝐂𝟎𝐁𝐁𝐋𝐏𝟎𝐓”

so no big deal, but i have been thinking about it these last few days, and i really want to start up a podcast of sorts. 

it’d be TV-centered, focused on talking about entire seasons, or specific episodes, or similar themes found in particular tv series of note. bottom line is that it’d be focused on TV. 

i’m still trying to raise some money to get the gear necessary to start it up, so if anyone who knows a thing or two about microphones and mixers would like to send some wisdom my way, please do; it’d be much appreciated. until then, i’ll most likely be updating the progress related to the podcast on what was originally going to be my longform writing page-turned-podcast blog, @justexposition
