OH MY GOD-
The radiator "just collapsed"
So I have been a host for almost 5 years and started hosting a larger property last year.
Today we had a guest tell us the radiator fell off the wall of the bathroom and into the tub.
We asked if his kids might have pulled on it (or tried to climb it as it's a metal spiral). Nope.
Plumber arrives and finds the copper pipes have snapped and the valve is completely broken. This was no collapse.
The guest claims it's a dangerous radiator. The radiator has been there for 5 years but was taken down for a repaint last year and there were never any signs of damage.
It's costing me about $200 to repair.
This guest has 31 5 star ratings so not your usual asshole.
Anyway... What to do? They also showed that a panel fell that opens where the boiler is but those panels are screwed in so it seems strange that they just popped out as well.
Should I just let it go? Plumber and property manager both think it was very likely jerked on but now this guy is calling the radiator "too heavy" for the wall. It has never been so much as loose.
This house seems to be taking constant damage from guests and I wonder if I making too many claims. (I swear 1 in 5 stays have broken something).
