okay hold up. wait a minute.

that is literally like, a kid. holy shit. what the fuck. who the fuck. what idiot brought a kid here? who’s the clown in charge of this fiesta? oh my god, albie has some words for whoever the hell decided bringing a kid into a strange new city. ( some words that may involve punching. )

but first.

the child.

how does he talk to a child though, like. it’s been like, a billion years since he talked to a child or like, anyone younger than him ( man, why can’t he remember who? ) but, it can’t be ... that hard ... right?

( albie. you underestimate your ability to be a clown. )

raihan steps up next to the alolan— he can tell, but he won’t say how or why, but he really can tell and it’s definitely because he’s visited before— and casts a good-naturedly lop-sided grin down to him. he offers his hand out for the other to fist-bump.

...Darkness hums. 

It’s not Mizuki’s favourite environment, despite her choice in Pokemon, but the smile on her face softens as she thinks how much her partners would enjoy it.

( Oh, of course, Mimikyu was with her, comforted by the familiar blackness, but it was not the same without everyone. )

Girl sits quietly, eyes studying around her. Mimikyu sleeps on her lap, costume rising and falling in soft rhythm, Mizuki’s hands stroking them absentmindedly. It continues like that, for a while, before something catches her eye and movement halts suddenly, darting upwards from the bench. 

Mimikyu grumbles in her arms, but does not wake. Wide eyes blink with disbelief, and girl slinks after the crowd, trying to catch up with familiar mop of hair. Eventually, she does, her target having stopped to admire a stall of sweet smelling festival foods.

For a moment, she stands behind them silently, almost unsure on what to do next, but--

She had done much bolder things in the past, this person by her side. Memories bolster her, and she steps forward, wraps her arms around friend’s back and leans in to hug them.

“Hau.”

SHE’S GOT AN EXCITED look on her face, she’s seen plenty of Pokemon -- and she KNEW that some Pokemon looked different according to the region, with Galar being no exception to that !! With that being said though ... she hadn’t had the chance to see pictures of all region specific Pokemon. Sonia didn’t need to be a Professor to see that the boys Raichu was one from a different region. Alola ... was it ?? She’d only read descriptions of it before and had never seen a picture of the real thing.
