Excerpt from a Life magazine article
Fifth in the line to the Nozama throne, Juno was expected to create her own kingdom within the Zinc empire of properties. Raised with his father's rigorous work ethic and her mother's ruthlessness, she learned the tricks of the trade while she was still in diapers, and has used her skills to rise quickly to power. Her sisters have conquered seemingly all industries she could have broken into, but her ingenuity knows no bounds and she has been involved in several successful projects putting the ever growing incarcated population to work. As the business prospects on the Dying Earth fade, she has set her sights on the only thing as ever growing as her power and influence; space.
Juno Zinc is proud to announce that the newest Nozama project, the Leviathan Prison Complex, the first prison in soace, will be spearheaded by her. When asked about the project she said "I always believed that life should not stop just because someone has commited a crime. I've worked to provide those in prisons with the opportunity to work and contribute to society all throughout my career, and I'm very excited to finally provide these opportunities on a never before seen scale. Some inmates have already been transferred to the prison, so they can work on it themselves and provide feedback, so we can make the people housed on the station as comfortable as we can."
The complex's systems will be controlled entirely by a single AI, the 413X. This program was also developed by Juno, and her ex-husband, Jason, who is currently awaiting his trial. This kind of thing has never been tried before on this scale, and if successful, will be a great leap forward in AI technology. Currently about 7 AIs are needed to control the different systems of a station, with teams of people supervising each one. If one AI can do this job with no supervision, the cost of station management will greatly decrease.
