ATLANTIS IN OVERWATCH universe
Everyone know about this mythical civilation and how Overwatch has all these ancient secrets and precursor civilizations, magic, talking animals and such ?
Well guess its turns out Atlantis was REAL and they were basically the original Omnics except they were humans who got WAY too good at technology.

THE BASICS OF THIS LAND
Atlantis stuff wasn't magic. Gods don't existed nor lived here. What Atlantis was a civilation so hyper-advanced science that looked like full of magic to anyone who didn't understand it.
Timeframe: Pre-Ice Age. Like, 12,000+ years ago. Before recorded history. Before ANYTHING.
Location: Somewhere in the Mediterranean. It sank. Obviously.
Tech Level: Imagine if the Omnica Corporation had TEN THOUSAND YEARS of uninterrupted technological development. Yeah. That much.

WHAT THEY WERE GOOD AT
· Bio-engineering - They could modify themselves. Enhanced strength, longer life, better senses. This is why ancient Greeks thought they were "gods."
· Quantum physics - They could manipulate reality at a subatomic level. Teleportation, energy shields, matter creation.
· Gravity manipulation - Their cities floated. Their ships flew. They probably made the pyramids, ngl.
· Energy-matter conversion - They could create things from pure energy. Like, 3D printing but on STEROIDS.
· Consciousness transfer - They were working on uploading minds into machines. Sound familiar? Yeah R-

HOW THEY DIED
NOT because they were punished by the gods for passing theyselves as gods or whatever.
They died because they were too smart for their own good.
The Leading Theory:
They were trying to open a portal to another dimension. They thought they found a way to access infinite energy, infinite resources, infinite EVERYTHING. Instead, they let something in. Venture idea.
Or maybe they created self-replicating nanotech that consumed their infrastructure. Or an AI that rebelled. Or a biological weapon that mutated out of control. Ramattra idea
Whatever happened, it was their own experiment that destroyed them. Everyone else
The Result:
· 80% of their population died instantly
· Their floating cities crashed into the sea
· The survivors scattered, their knowledge lost
· The "Titans" either ended obliterated out or went dormant

THEIR TECHNOLOGY
What survived:
The Capsules: When they realized they were doomed, the Atlanteans launched cryo-stasis capsules across the globe. Each one contained:
A genetically engineered "heir" - the best and brightest
A database of Atlantean knowledge
Enough power to last for millennia
A self-repair system
The plan: wait until humanity reached a certain technological level, then re-emerge and rebuild.
What went wrong:
Most capsules were destroyed in the cataclysm. The ones that survived got buried, lost, or damaged. The heirs never woke up.
Or... maybe one did.

THE OMNIUM CONNECTION
Here's where it gets interesting:
What if the Omnica Corporation didn't invent the first Omnics from scratch?
What if they found an Atlantean artifact - a damaged capsule, a databank, something - and reverse-engineered it?
The Omnic Crisis might have been caused by humanity trying to replicate technology they didn't fully understand.
Evidence:
· Omnics are way too advanced for late 21st century tech
· Something about them feels... familiar
· The Iris, their spiritual/cultural center, has symbols that don't match any known human language

THE TITANS
Not the Titans from Greek Mythology. In Overwatch terms, the "Titans" are:
Option 1: Rogue AI
The Atlanteans created an AI that rebelled. It's still out there, dormant, waiting. Maybe the Omnics are connected to it. Maybe it's why Omnics rebelled.
Option 2: Extradimensional Entities
The portal they opened let something IN. Something that's been sleeping under the ocean ever since. Something that's starting to wake up.
Option 3: Mutated Bioweapons
They were working on "super soldiers." Some of them got loose. They're still out there, hidden, breeding, waiting for the right moment.

THE ARCHITECTS (FORMERLY THE GOD-RULERS)
The Atlantean leadership called themselves the Architects. They weren't gods - they were scientists, engineers, and leaders who became worshipped after their deaths.
Key Architects:
· Abraxas - Worked on time manipulation and consciousness transfer. Maybe became an AI? Maybe still exists?
· Barbelo - Worked on space manipulation and teleportation. Their research was probably the basis for Symmetra's hard-light tech.
· Demiurge - Bio-engineered the Atlantean people. Enhanced strength, longevity, resistance to disease.
· Erinyes - Designed the capsules and the floating cities. Also the ships. Basically the original aerospace engineer.
· Kalkia - Worked on weapons. The scary kind. Probably responsible for whatever destroyed Atlantis.
· Monad - The inventor. Designed most of the everyday tech. The "Tony Stark" of Atlantis.
· Norea - The leader. The one who made the decisions. The one who ordered the capsule program.

WHERE IS ATLANTIS NOW?
Physical Location:
Somewhere in the Mediterranean, buried under millennia of sediment. The Greeks and Romans told stories about it, but they never found it.
Why hasn't anyone found it?
Because it's not just underwater. It's phased out of reality - or protected by some kind of energy shield that's been running on autopilot for 12,000 years.
Maybe it's been teleported somewhere else.
Maybe it's still there, perfectly preserved, waiting.

THE JUNKERTOWN CONNECTION
So. You know how a Junker scavenger found something weird in the desert?
The Capsule.
It crashed in Australia instead of its intended location. Probably because of a geomagnetic anomaly or a navigation error caused by the Omnic crisis.
For years, it's been buried under the sand, its systems running on low power, waiting for the right conditions to activate.
Then the Australian Omnium exploded.
The energy pulse from the explosion partially activated the capsule. It surfaced. A Junker found it.
Inside? A living Atlantean.

THE AESTHETIC
Atlantean tech looked like:
· Sleek and organic, like it was grown rather than built
· Bio-luminescent - glowing blue/cyan/purple
· Metallic but not cold - warm, almost alive
· Covered in flowing patterns that aren't quite writing
Their cities were:
· Floating platforms
· Waterfalls that go UP instead of down
· Buildings that look like they're made of crystal or coral
· Skyways of hard light
· Energy shields that shimmer like oil on water

THE IRONY
Atlantis died because they reached too high, too fast.
Omnica built Omnics too fast, without understanding the consequences.
The Junkers build their society on the bones of that failure.
And now, in a desert wasteland, a relic from the past is waking up, carrying the knowledge of a civilization that destroyed itself.
Will they learn from the past? Or repeat it?
ALSO
The capsule has a secondary function.
It wasn't just a lifeboat. It was also a beacon.
When it activates, it sends a signal - across space, across time, to anyone or anything that's listening.
Question: Who's listening?
Answer: The other survivors. The ones still sleeping.
Question: What happens when they wake up?

And the Final Question
Atlantis was real. They were super advanced. They destroyed themselves with their own experiments. They launched cryo-capsules to preserve their legacy. One of them crashed in Australia and was found by Junkers. The Junker Queen wants it. The capsule is also a beacon. Something's coming...
