Another wonderful Junko Week on the board! Thankyou so much to all who participated and all who tuned in to see the fruits of our collective labor and love of the game! Rest assured if we have any late entries I'll be reblogging them here as soon as I can! I check the tag at least once a day so barring the Tumblr Search Engine failing me I should be able to spot any! Before my final message for the week we of course shall discuss the future! As I said a few times already across various announcements, there will be no Junkan Month 2, I don't have it in me to put together another prompt list that big for awhile and I imagine a much smaller Junkan Week is a lot easier to work with for us all (Please ignore that the "smaller" Junkan Week technically has as many prompts as a month). That said! The prompt list from last year is still there sitting around, so if you feel like challenging yourself, maybe want to practice your writing or drawing, or perhaps just really want to kill some fuckin' time, go ahead and use that! I'll reblog whatever you make with it as long as it's tagged #JunkanMonth or something similar. I still have no idea what I'm going to do with this blog between now and the next Junkan Week. I've considered making it a proper catalogue of all things Junkan across Tumblr, but I'm still not sure that's something I'm really capable of. I've also considered maybe using a notepad my sister mailed me to do a daily drawing Challenge for Junkan, buuuut I might need to be a liiiiiittle less overworked before I do that!~ I'm also considering maybe I just use this place to post my normal Junkan related stuff in the meantime, since in essence that's why this was originally made in the first place. To have somewhere to put the over a hundred Junkan Art Pieces I made that year in a place that wasn't my main account. Only reason I switched to posting there was just because I had this idea of keeping the blog a pristine time capsule of my absurd project. But who knows! Give your thoughts though, even if this is my blog I did make it to bring a little joy to the people afterall! So for now the only thing I can garauntee is that sometime this year I plan to retag the original 100 Days Posts in order to make them slightly more accessible now that they're sharing space with Junkan Week. Speaking of which! Junkan Week 2027! What to expect? It will exist so long as Tumblr is still functioning, I haven't decided on a Date yet. I'm slightly considering putting it even later in the year during the Summer? Feels like a more fitting season for Junkan compared to Spring, or Winter especially. Maybe that's the danganronpa 2 talking though. Regardless you can expect the prompt lists to be made available around either December or January Anyways anyways ANYWAYS!~ My last message to ya'll till I make some kind of announcement at a later date. Thank you all, so much for your participation this year. It is so wonderful to see Junkan as a ship, in both it's Soft and Toxic forms is alive and well here in this niche little corner of Tumblr, and I can only hope that throughout 2026 we'll only see more of the happy couple, I mean hell! We got a whole new Danganronpa 2 coming out! And I'm definitely not scared at what kind of ripples it will send into the wider world of this ship!~ (I'm only slightly nervous in actuality!).

A new chapter for the original Danganronpa IF: Revival to close out this lovely little week.

Occasionally, this piece of work still gets kudos. It's buried further back in the Junkan fics and its writing is all over the place in terms of plot and grammar... but people still find it and enjoy it. This story means and holds a lot of weight to me, and while I wouldn't do it like this again, I still hold it so close to my heart. So I thought, why not give its girls another dance. Just one to show those crazy kids are still doing well after all this time.

Junkan Week 2026 - Day 7 - Hope & Despair: Freebie

Is it really a Junkan Week if I don't do at least one Vampire AU pic?? It's the au i've put the most effort into whether it be all the art i've drawn of it both for my 100 Days Event and then beyond, it's the only AU I've realized as a fully written fic (with maybe more to come someday if I get off my ass and finish some old WIPs!). So if burnout was only gonna let me draw one thing for the last day, only seemed right that I draw this again. But I decided to still try and have this kinda work for the two prompt lists. So it's a little before and after! Representing Despair is our lovely couple at their first meeting, Mikan hiding most of her Vampiric Traits, and Junko having less than good intentions for the Little nurse upon initial meeting. And Representing Hope is them a few months later, Mikan might still be a bit of a nervous wreck but with the help of a lovestruck Junko she's far more comfortable in her own skin, and far more comfortable of getting her teeth in Junko's skin!~ I draw Junko being head over heels for Mikan plenty over the years, but I think I have my most fun when it's this AU because more than ever Junko is just an absolute disaster for this girl. There are times I do think on what if Junko never got a crush on Mikan in that fic, what if she just kept going with her plan to blackmail Mikan and make her life despairing. But when I think on it, while there's definitely an alternate timeline to explore there, I don't think there's anyway I could really make it interesting.

I'm not sure if you gleamed it from the over 200 times I've drawn these two making out with hearteyes but Toxic Junkan is something I have very little experience doing myself and while I'm sure to dabble more in the future I think i am firmly aware and comfortable to keep being a provider of Soft Junkan in this little community that's been built. There are people far more experienced in being able to depict these two in that darker light than me (As seen with the Junkan event of this year and the ones of the past!) and I'm very content to let the pro's do their thing sljgfsdkgafsd.

Day 7 of Side Mikan for Junkan Week 2026! @the-100-days-of-junkan!

A bit of a change this time, the Author's Notes are coming first before we get to the story. I loved writing this one. There was just something to writing their dynamic and Mikan's relationship. If this was a more free time based story I would've explored so much more of everyone's relationships and Jabberwock Island completely, but this wasn't a full post DR2 story. This was about Mikan Tsumiki and her relationship to Junko Enoshima.

I wonder at times if I give too much to Junko or who she was, but then I don't think I do. At the end of the day, Junko Enoshima was still a human being who had other thoughts and emotions and feelings besides that of despair. She did have a form of caring for people and loving others. DR3 might have said otherwise but I still believe that that love included Mikan Tsumiki in some fucked up way or form, and I still believe Mikan Tsumiki had a genuine love for that woman. Maybe 2x2 will show me and make me believe that even more, or maybe it'll try to distance them even more. It does not matter. I wrote this piece as if they were and did. And nothing can change that.

Of course, there's still one more day of story to go. We had a prologue to all of this, so naturally there is an epilogue as well. I ask you return to me tomorrow... and maybe check my page in general. You never know if a surprise might be waiting for you.
