LATE NIGH PACKING + NEW EARMUFFS! -

Around 4 months ago, I was invited to my brothers wedding. He has arranged this wedding to take place in Ethiopia. So for the past few days, Inbetween Baby showers, Dates and beach days I’ve been preparing for this vacation of 10 days to Ethiopia!

I was also talking to Nika about calming the babies and Skylar on the three flights (One from Washington to Florida / Florida to London / London to Ethiopia) and she mentioned ‘Hearing Protector Earmuffs’. So i actually went and invested in 4 pairs of these earmuffs!

As you can see in the bottom picture, I have all four children downstairs with me. They’re tucked in these little sleeping bags from @magicbabymama - Which by the way they love!

I’ve managed to pack a suitcase for me,Skylar and the Triplets have a shared case. I’m currently packing carry ons and baby’s bags. Mekhi is coming too which is great because I will be needing another pair of hands :)

         Adventure’s of Skylar and Mekhi

I decided I would blog for J today, She let me which was pretty cool!

Anyway Im Mekhi :3 Im 19 years old, Im an Undergrad student at Washing University. I just moved back to Washington from England.

I took Skylar and Juni on a walk today, While the triplets were with our Mother and Father. I used to come here a lot with Juni as a kid. The river is quite calm and relaxing. Juni was jumping off the rocks while I stayed on the grass with Skylar.

We decided to make faces with all the rocks and leaves! She’s an awesome artist. It’s so quiet here you can here everything which was good because I managed to talk to Juni about How england was.

I can’t wait to blog more on this now I’ll be spending more time with these awesome Nieces and Nephews.

MEKHI’S INTRO AND MINION UPDATES

I would like to introduce Mekhi (M-Kai), Mekhi is my Younger Half-Brother. I only recentl saw him again.

I invited him over because he hasn’t seen Skylar since she was a few months old, He also got to meet the triplets. Between the Funeral and now we’ve spent a lot of time together.

I actually offered for him to stay in our guest room, Because he is a massive help with the kiddo’s.

Skylar:

Skylar has become much more indpendent, She is babbling and running away. She has developed into a mini me, But with a love for water and sports.

Sawyer/Saylor/Shiloh:

Since having all three home, It has been quite a challenge. It’s been changeing the routine to make sure all 3 babies have the time they need, And Skylar and time for myself so I don’t go insane. Sawyer has settled in well because in the NICU they spend small periods of time without company which has actually helped with being with their daddy.

Bonding Skylar and The Triplets:

These are some of the things I do to help Skylar bond:

I Let Skylar help out as much as she wants to - Don’t force your child into doing anything.

I also let Them try Skin-to-skin, Only with Sawyer so far but it went great!

First Day home with Sawyer + Skylar is bouncing off the walls.

On Sunday morning, I was given the all clear to take home my Little man. I will make a proper post on all three together. I managed to get all three girls washed,Dressed and fed before 10am, Which is pretty good!

We are slowly getting into a routine which means I get to spend an hour with the babies before Skylar wakes up. Getting Sawyer adjusted will be difficult but we will get there eventually.

Once we arrived at the hospital, We spent hours going through papers and signing them. Then we went to the NICU and I held Sawyer for the first time with no tubes or wires. He smiled and opened his eyes - His bright blue ones.

Skylar picked his outfit to go home in, I dressed him and we placed him in his care seat, I’m trying to get Skylar involved as much as she wants too. I had Hunter in the car to stay with Saylor + Shiloh. I remember putting him in the car and he looked so scared but It was all okay.

When we got home, I litereally showed him the whole entire house, Reintroduced him to everyone (Including the dogs + Cats). He was so confused but he was still smiling.

I’m very happy to have him home! Today, We blew up the bouncy castle. Skylar has been walking around the house all day saying “Bounce” so I called Mekhi up and he helped me set it up.

She loves it, It also helps me control her energy and We can spend quality time out here together. Since we left the Beach house with ( @toddlercuddler ) Skylar has more energy then ever. Normally the older girls tire each other out. So we will definetly have to try and visit again soon!

I have many thing’s to update on which is good, But I will try my best to get it out.

Alone with 2 Babies.... + a Toddler!

I’m happy that I’ve finally worked out a routine with the babies! It’s definetly as hard as I thought It would be. This is a small update :)

                       Skylar meeting her siblings

At 11am today, Skylar was brought to meet her new siblings by her Aunt.

I first decided that when Skylar enters the room we wanted her to have the full attention, So we calmed the babies and asked Aunt Em and Skylar to stop by the gift shop so I could finish feeding Shiloh.

Once Skylar entered the room I told her that she can come sit on the bed with mommy because we have some ‘Big News!’ to tell her. She was placed S on the bed with me, and She hadn’t noticed the babies yet.

The first thing she asked was “Belly gone?”. I started to explain that the babies which are her brother and sisters are tiny babies now, So they no longer have to stay in mommy’s tummy. I had asked her if she’d like to see or hold her. She looked quiet shocked and scared but she did shake her head.

So not to scare her we decided We’d show her Shiloh first and then Saylor, So Nana (My Mom) picked up Shiloh and gently carried her to the edge of the bed so Skylar could see her, I asked Sky if I could bring ‘Shiloh’ any closer, She smiled and nodded (Ps Shiloh has already been nicknamed ‘Shi-Shi’) She placed Shiloh into My arms and I told Skylar to be really gentle and she was still Smiling. I took Skylars hand and looked for a smile before placing her hand in Shiloh’s hand.

Next Nana brought Saylor over to the edge but she wasn’t placed on the bed, Skylar put her other hand in Saylors hand and smiled.Im so glad that they’re first meeting went like this!

                                   Our World is filled with Joy

I’m doing alot better today, I’m still isn’t allowed to walk due to my abdomen being stitched up from her C-Section so I’ve been staying in bed all day.

Baby Updates:

Saylor - She is very contempt with being in her momma’s arms and yes Juni is the only one that can stop her crying. She literally bursts into tears if you take her from Juni’s arms.

Shiloh - She sleeps all day, She loves to sleep. She hardly crys yet anyway. She was taken back to the NICU today but was brought back about an hour ago was given the all clear for her breathing. Which is amazing :)

Sawyer - He is still in the NICU, He has had a good day today. Juni has visited him and she didn’t want to leave his side. He still has trouble breathing on his own and still can’t manage to regulate body heat.
