2. Favorite song: This one’s tough, I like music in general. This time of year I listen to a lot of Jimmy Buffett, so how about his cover of Uncle John’s Band.

5. Do you collect something? Nah, hubby’s the collector in the family.

7. Favorite fanfiction: I don’t read much fanfiction tbh. As a librarian, I read a lot of YA fiction, and I’m enjoying One For All by Lillie Lainoff

8. Place you'd love to be right now? Where I am now: a home. I’d also welcome being on a beach somewhere...

9. Your fav film... of all time? That’d be The Shop Around the Corner. Romance, comedy, and some serious times wrapped up in cuteness. Plus, Jimmy Stewart.

“Be a Goodneighbor” is from my Danse fic, some Goodneighbor shenanigans, getting stuck in a massive radstorm and the only room left at the hotel rexford has *gasp* just one bed >:3

Here’s a snippet of that:

The hotel room was small and coated in a layer of grime. Dollie lifted her bag from her shoulder, dropping it on the creaky wooden floor. There was a visible outline on the ground where there had been a couch at some point, but there wasn’t any longer. Her head was already aching.

She glanced over her shoulder to find Danse frozen rigidly in the doorway. She couldn't say she blamed him. Certainly wasn't an ideal situation. Rain pelted the window and the sky flashed a sickening green as if to remind her why this was their only option.

The lone bed took up most of the room, some ragged looking bedding folded haphazardly in the middle. The hotel stays of her memory were mocking and impossible in comparison. No mints on the pillow, no folded towel swans, or waterfall shower heads. They were lucky to have been given bedding at all, she guessed.

Her clothes stuck to her skin. She felt like a drowned rat. If there’d been a mirror, she thought she might have looked like one too.
