It's so late now, I don't know what to do anymore. Junhui has been a real gem, he cares about me so much and he makes me feel different from how everyone else does. { ` donning a thick pullover, another gift from junhui, he happily skipped out of his room, after he has double, triple checked that he has everything he needed. a small cap on his head, he held on to the straps of his bag and hopped out towards to the other complex before knocking on the door, making a slight ruckus. } junjun! junjun! byungjoo’s here! i’m ready to go off. {` excitement carved upon his lips as he curiously observed the designs of the complex’s corridor, small pout once he felt his fifteen seconds wait was way too long. another wave of louder knockings, he began whining. } hurry up, you’re so slow! hurry up hurry up! kuaidian! {` he yelled in mandarin to emphasis the need for his friend to hurry }

he couldn’t really feel anything, and he wonders if that’s why he decided to go out drinking in the first place, it was a high probability. he remembers how this morning he had started to feel a bit odd, but after that it’s blurry. he can’t remember what it was that turned his mood so sour, but sunggyu ended up in a bar so it had to be pretty upsetting. the smell of smoke and booze fill the air and he pays off his tab before slowly standing and making his way out of the bar, his steps are slow and not really all controlled.

the outside air hits him and he lets out a breath, his lashes fluttering as he glances up at the sky above, he takes in how he can see some stars up in the sky that night, but most of them are blocked out by the city lights. he thinks if he would to go more out into the countryside he could see them better and he makes a drunken mental note; have him and woohyun vacation in the countryside.

he turns his gaze from the sky and makes his way down the street in the direction he’s pretty sure his apartment is in, again his steps are a bit staggered and he tries to keep his balance. unfortunately it’s a lot more difficult than he thought it would be and a string of murmured curses leave him as he stumbles into a trash can, hitting his knee pretty hard in the process. he shifted and moves away before continuing down the street, ignoring the stinging in his knee. though when he looks down he can see his jeans are ripped and his knee is slowly starting to pour blood. fantastic, he thinks.

at least he can’t feel the pain completely.

the pros to being drunk is the fact that you can’t feel a lot of things, and sunggyu is grateful for the liquor he drank before, he supposed it stopped him not only feeling unwanted emotions but also seemed to aid him in the long wrong.

sunggyu seemed to have been too focused on his thoughts, as he didn’t noticed the stranger staring at him in confusion until sunggyu almost ran into the gu.

“fuck --” he breathed, stumbling into the man’s body, “shit, sorry.” he mumbled, brows frowning.

Junhui has a special place in Byungjoo’s heart, being the only one out of many people in this school compound, and Byungjoo wasn’t one to express it, but he had this day to day obligation to thank Junhui, be it at the start of the day or the end of it, whichever way he gets to do it, he promised himself to show Junhui’s his bit of appreciation and gratitude. 

He wasn’t financially able to do so right now, but he got his 8th of July covered, if he set aside a $2 aside from today on, he could get a portable heater for his friend in addition to the built-in one in the room. And from that day on, he decided to forgo his little snack between lessons to keep $2 as his daily thank you. Junhui probably won’t see it, or know it, but it’s only for now, right?
