Jun-hee's hand slipped out of Baby's as she went to a nearby foodstall. They were walking downtown with the rest of the Saja Boys on their day off.
While Jinu, Mystery, and Romance were window-shopping at the street market, Abby was catching the attention of some fans. He gave them his signature fan service of stretching to the point that all his shirt buttons pop off, revealing his chiseled 8-pack. The fans ate it up, as per usual.
Baby, who was initially spacing out, felt a wave of insecurity watching Abby flaunt his abs to the fans. Facing away, he lifted up his sweater to look at his own abdomen. Smooth.
Jun-hee turned back with two corndogs in hand, noticing her boyfriend's demeanor. One glance at Abby told her exactly what he was thinking. She came up to Baby, holding a corndog to him, "Hey, you okay?"
Baby dropped his shirt as soon as he noticed her, bringing back his nonchalant persona, "Yeah, I'm aight.. This is for me? You didn't have to, princess..." he said as he took the corndog in hand, "It's no biggie.. I just wanted to treat you to something..." she kissed his cheek softly, making his heart flutter in his chest.

The day went on fine, though Baby noticed Jun-hee clung to his side a little more after getting the corndogs.
When they got home, Baby almost immediately plopped onto the couch to doomscroll, and Jun-hee joined him after putting away her shopping haul. She crawled to his side and snuggled her head onto his shoulder, his arm quickly wrapped around hers.
Jun-hee remembered what happened earlier and decided to ask, "Hey, Baby?" He responded with a hum, not looking away from his phone, "Are you feeling.. weird about your body?"
He paused, and his previously relaxed expression hardened a little. Jun-hee noticed and was worried she had said something insensitive, "S-sorry, I just... I saw you looking at Abby and then your own abdomen earlier.. I-I don't mean to assume, but--"
"No, princess, you're okay... You read me like a book, you know that?" His eyes softened again, his expression turned fond and affectionate, "I-I just... I don't know.. I don't mean to feel jealous when Abby gets more attention from fans, but.. sometimes, I wonder if you wish I was more... like him.." he spoke, Jun-hee listened intently.
"What? Baby, why would I ever think that??" She turned to sit facing him, her legs folded on the couch, "You do realize that you were and always have been the first one I noticed when I saw all the Saja Boys together, right? Abby is literally just straight up not my type.. too many muscles are kinda gross sometimes. Don't tell him I said that."
That drew a chuckle out of him, and her heart soared at the sight of his smile again. She leaned in to kiss his cheek.
"You're perfect to me, okay? I love you, everything about you. Even the parts that you feel insecure about.. I'll love those parts ten-fold...!"
Her words sent a wave of adoration and affection in his chest. He pulled her into his arms, nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck.
"My sweet princess.. always knowing what to say..." he mumbled while peppering kisses on her skin, drawing out her laughter.

Jun-hee remembered the first time she saw him. Just another cute boy she passed by on the street, at least that's what she thought at the time. There's plenty of boys her type in Seoul, after all. How was she supposed to know that this one was a rising K-pop sensation who went viral immediately after his band's debut?
She always had a thing for maknaes. And the way this boy moved and danced somehow captivated her. When he rapped, it was like he knew he owned it. His confidence, his stage presence...
She wasn't supposed to be thinking about him before bed.
Not when she knew she was gonna be seeing him tomorrow at the awards show. Not when he's part of the rival group that Huntr/x has beef with, for reasons she didn't think of to ask. Not when she knew he'd never notice her in the sea of his fans.
No, just don't think about him. Go to bed.

"This week's winner is: SODA POP by the Saja Boys!"
The host's voice echoed throughout the venue as the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. The Saja Boys smiled and bowed as they received their bouquets, Huntr/x glaring at them, yet still bitterly clapping in "support" of their hoobaes.
At the wings of the stage, Jun-hee applauded next to Bobby, quiet and polite, not wanting to show too much support for the rival band. Little did she know Bobby was doing the same.
Her eyes fell on the Saja Boys' maknae. Again.
He was basking in the ovation, throwing finger hearts and aegyos to the crowd, loving the attention. But in a moment, his gaze flicked stage right, and their eyes met for a split second. Jun-hee blinked as she looked down at her Mary Janes, her cheeks slightly flushed—not that anyone would notice it under her mask. When she looked up again, he and the rest of the Saja Boys were walking off the other side of the stage.
A mix of relief and disappointment filled her chest watching him leave her line of sight.
"Jun-hee! On me, please!" Bobby called. She didn't even notice Huntr/x also walking offstage and passing her. She quickly followed them to their next schedule.

Later, still at the venue, Jun-hee was once again standing on the sidelines as the girls dealt with one interview after another. Bobby wasn't with her this time; he was making sure the crowds were civil. He was always good at that, dealing with the fans. Jun-hee never liked it; she was better with data and social media. But during events like these, she was on standby in case any of the other staff needed Bobby; they'd go to her.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, "Excuse me?" they said. She turned around, thinking it was one such staff member, "Yes, can I h-- haa..!! Hi!" She was caught off guard by who was actually there to greet her.
It was him.
Oh my days, of all the people it could've been.
He chuckled at her reaction, noticing the pink blush through her mask, which almost matched his fuzzy sweater. "Sorry, did I startle you?" His voice was low and silky smooth. She somehow hadn't expected that, despite having heard him rap before.
"I-I.." She shook her head slightly, waking herself up, "Ah.. a little, but it's okay... Can I help you?" She put on her best PR expression, holding eye contact with him.
He rubbed the back of his neck, "Ah, well.. I just wanted to talk to you... You got a name?"
"I'm sorry, me??" Jun-hee almost couldn't believe he was asking that of her.
"Yes, you..." he chuckled again, his face was smug. If it were anyone else, she might've wanted to punch him. But her mind flashed back to all the times she had seen him before this, knowing full well she was attracted to him.
But she didn't lose her footing, "I'm Jun-hee.. and you are?" Her mouth bloomed into a smirk he couldn't see; he couldn't tell she was messing with him, "Wh- you don't know who I am??" He almost sounded genuinely offended, which only made Jun-hee chuckle.
"Pff– I’m kidding, of course I know who you are, Baby Saja.."
He paused. Why did the way she said his name make his heart skip a beat? What's up with that.
"Ah..." Was all that came out of his mouth.
And then silence. Jun-hee tilted her head, confused.
"You, um.. said you wanted to talk to me?" She asked, her pitch getting slightly higher, "Oh! Right, right.. So... who are you to... them?" He gestured his chin towards Huntr/x, eyes flicking to them almost cautiously.
Jun-hee thankfully didn't notice the spite in his tone, "Oh! I'm their manager. Well, assistant manager, technically. Have been for about 2 years now..." she said politely, "What about you? How long have you been training as an idol? I never saw any promotional material from you guys before your debut."
Baby paused for a split second, quickly trying to remember the script Jinu gave him if someone asked this question, "Well, that's cuz our company's really hush-hush about our training program.. Buuuuttt they always knew we were gonna make it big," he said, a cocky grin flashing across his face.
"It is very impressive how you guys went insanely viral immediately after your debut..! It's honestly unreal! And you..! I'm such a fan of your rap verse, you're so talented!" She beamed, flooding him with admiration that boosted his ego; his grin only grew wider.
"I guess I am pretty cool..." he drawled, almost jokingly.
"Hehe~ you definitely are..." Jun-hee responded without missing a beat.
Whoa. Okay. That was not the response he anticipated at all. He had expected her to correct him, saying she meant the whole group, and shut down his egotistical bullshit, but... no. She just agreed with him, like she wanted to boost his ego.
His demeanor didn't falter, "What, so am I like your bias?" he teased, leaning slightly closer. He noticed her cheeks flushing deeper under her mask.
"I can neither confirm nor denyyy..." she said, her fingers starting to fidget with one of her braids.
Oh, he's definitely her bias.
"Ah.. I-I'm not really supposed to have a bias in your group. Hell, I don't even think I'm supposed to like the Saja Boys at all..! Working with Huntr/x means being loyal to them, and I am! Just... I can't lie and say Soda Pop isn't constantly stuck in my head.." She chuckled before pursing her lips in embarrassment, "Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble, I'm probably boring you--"
"Not at all.. I like hearing you talk."
...oh.
"Oh.. well, thank you..."
Jun-hee was frankly surprised that he stuck around that long without suddenly needing to leave.. because that's how it was with everyone. But she supposed that Baby's not just.. anyone. The idol she saw rapping bars and throwing aegyos was now suddenly listening to her with almost a fond smile on his face.
He really didn’t want her to stop talking, feeling the urge to know everything about her. Just by her eyes— God, her eyes —the way she looked at him, he couldn't help but want to know her story.
Suddenly, Jun-hee felt her watch buzz, and she looked at it, "Ah, shoot.. gotta wrap up this fanmeet soon..." she said, looking at Huntr/x on the stage. She looked back at Baby, a pang of disappointment in her chest when she realized she'd have to leave him soon.
He felt it, too. But he didn't want to let it show. "Guess I'll see you at the next event, huh?" he said, forcing a smug smile.
"Y-yea.. I guess..." Jun-hee looked down, an idea popping in her head. But should she do it? Now???
"Well.. I'll leave you to it, then. See ya around, Jun-hee..." Baby said, ready to leave to avoid the hunters. And Jun-hee spoke again, "Yeah! Uh.. here, take my card. In case your company needs it for.. I-I dunno, collabs, I guess...?? Okay, bye."
She moved and spoke without thinking. With her eyes avoiding his and face red as pomegranate, she practically shoved one of her business cards into his hand and pivoted to walk away before Baby could even process. She went to Bobby to tell him it was time to wrap up the fanmeet.
Zoey caught a glimpse of Baby offstage and scowled at him, so he immediately left the area before anyone else noticed him.
When he got far enough, he looked at the card in his hand. It had her name; 남준희 (Nam Jun-Hee), her job title as assistant manager to Huntr/x of Honmoon Entertainment, as well as...
Her number.
He stared for a moment, then scoffed with an amused smile blooming on his face.

afterwardsss they kinda just see each other! (not officially dating yet tho) within the week and a half before the Idol Awards, the two talk CONSTANTLY whether it be online or backstage at concerts AND ESPECIALLYYY at the fanmeet <3
and 2 days before Idol Awards, they go on an aquarium date! and there, jun-hee takes off her mask in front of him for the first time and he thinks her teeth are SUPER cutr awww

anyway after the events of the movie, IN MY HEADCANON Baby survives (cuz we don't see him die on screen he's alive trust) but since Gwi-Ma is gone/weakened, he can't exactly go back to the demon realm, SO he stays with Jun-hee in her apartment for the foreseeable future :] and also now she knows that he's a demon + they're dating now YAYYY
