The exhibition includes Oson's beloved characters that frequently appear in his paintings, depicting their daily struggles to find meaning and purpose in life.

This exhibition marks Oson's first visit to Korea and his first solo exhibition in the country, imbuing his works with a sense of adventure and excitement. The exhibition features a mix of newly attempted works and woodcut-shaped pieces that have already gained popularity. Additionally, a large canvas work has been prepared to provide a more vibrant experience for viewers. Interested parties may attend the exhibition at Soft Corner from February 25th to March 19th.

Jun’s work is a mixture of the playful and the eccentric, often populated by fascinating human-like creatures.

Jun Oson’s “Just Looking.”

Currently on view at Moosey London is artist Jun Oson’s must see solo exhibition, “Just Looking.”

Jun Oson is a Japanese artist who was born in 1979 and started his career as an illustrator in 2005. His art works have a stateless style based on the influence of manga and animations that have been unconsciously influenced since childhood with elements from western artists. Oson’s pieces are often playful and comical, highlighting an electric cast of humanoid creatures that are inspired by 70’s and 80’s pop culture cartoons. Specializing in pop designs that utilize vibrant colors combined with quintessential Japanese anime techniques.

In addition to people with various skin colors, monsters and robots appear throughout his works. “Diversity’ is something he has always had since he started his career and is fundamental to his values. Besides painting, Oson also does product commissions, animations and advertising, book illustrations, as well as cover designs.

“Just Looking” is on view until June 5th and should not be missed if you’re in London.
