While I may not be attending @pitti_uomo_ this week, I have been immersing myself in the fashion tribes of Melbourne in the 1970s in the exhibition PUTTING IT OUT THERE at @historyvictoria. There’s a wonderful spotlight on the Sharpies... a very particular tribe in Melbourne who wore a combination of tight t-shirts, even tighter bell-bottom trousers, clunky shoes and cardigans. The exhibition also touches on other elements of menswear and the burgeoning skateboard scene.
