 Roger’s now-deceased, longtime girlfriend

 Her grandparents were highly-decorated soldiers in the American marines before the Revolution, and her parents were American loyalists during the Revolution

 During her childhood, her parents were leaders of a secret resistance that worked to topple the world government, and to revert the globe to having separate governments

 When she was a teenager, she began to view the ideals of her parents as a bit extreme, since she saw that the world government was actually preventing conflicts between different regions

 After her parents escaped death during the “Murphy Fiasco” (in which almost every member of the resistance group was found murdered within the span of 3 days), they exiled themselves to the Southern Asian city-state while Julia stayed behind

 She and Roger met while at the World Military’s boot camp when each was 20

 Her skills with a sniper rifle made her one of the top recruits, and she was placed in a squad consisting of an expert swordsman, a brilliant strategist, and a military prodigy with the ability to see and speak to the dead (Roger)

 During a mission, Julia was killed by an enemy sniper after her location was given away by the squad member who replaced Roger after his discharge over his mental stability

 Roger visited the site of her death to speak to her one final time; days later, Julia is able to locate him, giving the two a chance to talk to each other whenever they want to
