ALL OF THEM LAUGH AND ENCOURAGE THIS SHIT YOU KNOW HE WON’T STOP YOU FUCKERS,                   the whole tea thing is a mixture of regular hazing and a really spiteful attempt to break giorno immediately and sow seeds of distrust with the others; he won’t be seen as strong when it comes to the rest of the gang, and it would then be very easy for abbacchio to talk to buccellati in terms of ‘if he won’t accept things from us, how can we expect him to be one of us and how can we trust him apart from your trust’ and try to get information about why that trust should be given, and perhaps what exactly they’re hiding.                   people forget abbacchio is a tricksy bastard ( see: every time he’s in combat ) who’s very good at quick thinking and absolutely knows how to get information out of people ( as this is the practical application for his stand in their usual line of work, ) and while the scene is more meant as half-comedy and half-illustrating how the gang is upon first meeting them, it’s also pretty easy to deconstruct it in character mindsets if you think about it
