Jhulana-yatra is a festival to celebrate Radha Krishna's pastime of swinging on a golden swing this celebration takes place for around 5 days until Balarama- purnima. Every year, in the month of Shravana, which heralds the beginning of the rainy season, devotees offer Jhulan Seva to Sri Sri Radha Krishna. This festival denotes the celebration of love between Radha and Krishna. As a child growing up in a family of practicing Vaishnava-Hindus decorating the swing with scented jasmine was one of my favorite things to do. Now I can’t see or smell jasmine without fondly remembering this special pastime of Radha Krishna’s Jhulana-Yatra ... I hope my kids will one day cherish this festival of love as fondly as I do! . . .repost from my dear sister . . . . . . . . . . posted on Instagram - https://ift.tt/2MxNEjV
