Jujutsu High was buzzing with the fall leaves in Tokyo, and the chatter of students across campus. Y/n, a first year at Jujutsu High, was only a grade 2 sorcerer...but she was quickly scaling the ranks.

Local movies were showing classics for the holidays. Onibaba, Ringu, Ju-on, and a few others, for 2$ less! A Halloween discount!

Y/n's little group of friends were Satoru, Suguru, Shoko, Ijichi, Nanami, and Haibara. And, outside of training together as students, they tended to hangout as a group! So, for the holidays, Haibara had been the main one to create, plan, and execute the group's hangout this crisp Friday night. The plan was, go to a local convenience store to grab snacks and mess around, and then walk across the street to the local, cheap, theater!

One issue though. Y/n had really had this sory of...flirty friendship? She didn't know. But her and Satoru had been it for a while, but she knew how he was. The strongest, always alone, always flirting with other women. And seriously! He usually flirted back!

The group met up with Ijichi, all piling within the car (probably illegally) as he started it from the front seat. Y/n had offered to sit as Satoru laid across everyone's laps in the back...classic Satoru.

"Heyyy look! Do I look like an idol, Y/n!?"

He said excitedly as he winked, and stuck his tongue out at her. His head was propped up on his hand as he looked up at her with those big, blue eyes.

"Yess of course you do!"

Y/n's smile was not unusual, but it was softly getting drowned out by the chatter from everyone else dog-piled into the car. The ride to the convenience store was short, yet comfortable. Small and friendly touches, that definitely weren't out of the ordinary for Y/n and Satoru, we in the midst of banter around them. Creating a small, intimate circle of tension.

Ijichi hadn't come along with everyone to the movies due to his distaste for scary movies, but he agreed to pick them up at 9:00pm when the movie ended. The convenience door's bell rang softly, indicating the arrival of various teenagers. Y/n's eyes scanned the aisles for snacks...she picked out a few savory, and one sweet, ontop of a small drink to smuggle in aswell. Satoru, on the contrary, got only sweets, and still had that signature smirk on his face as he looked down at her.

"Hey look! Sunglasses? In October?"

Y/n said with a small laugh as she picked up a pair off the rack. larger, circular ones that mimicked Satoru's.

"How cool do I look, Satoru!"

She beamed up at him and...his heart stopped. This shorter, bubbly woman, was looking up at him with those big eyes and slightly too large sunglasses...and he had to play it cool? Right.

"Ohh- uhm...you look great. Y/n."

He said with a small cough before snapping back into character. His large index finger coming to tap on the top of the nose bridge.

"Some would say they even mimick mine."

He managed to keep his cocky smirk painted on his face in just enough time for her to laugh and turn around to put the glasses back. That was, until her eyes spotted a cooler with...cheesecake??? What!!! She loved cheesecake!

"Oh my gosh! Satoru! Satoru! Look-"

She barked out before quickly making her way to the cooler and laughing as she pulled out a hefty slice of cheesecake. His smirk softened as he also walked back over, the chatter of their other friends a distant fog in the other side of the store.

"Wow that is one...magnificent piece of cheesecake!"

He replied with his tone his usual supportive and enthusiastic. She was over the moon over...cheesecake? Whatever kept her happy.

"Ooo can we share? I'll buy it if you promise to share with me."

Her eyes sparkled as she looked up at him, her hands full of snacks and drinks for the movie soon. He couldn't resist those eyes! Come on!

They ended up checking out, and sitting on the edge of the curb outside the store. The fluorescent light from the sign shined dimly over Y/n's features as she eagerly opened up the casing for the slice. Their other friends? Having a milk chugging battle a few yards away. Satoru had promised to compete against the winner as soon as he was done with their cheesecake.

Y/n smelled like cider, vanilla, and a hint of her shampoo from this close up. Satoru watched as her face lit up with every spoonful of cheesecake hitting her mouth.

"Mm! Ohhh my gosh! Satoru! Try this-"

She laughed again as she shoved the cheesecake towards him, a big grin on her face as she looked up at him. He took a bite of the cheesecake, and immediately cooed aswell. This was some GOOD ass cheesecake.

Satoru's face lit up like he’d just won a mission—some huge, important jujutsu battle. Just because some random slice of cheesecake was yummy.

Her voice. Her smile with crumbs on her lip. The way she chewed happily, eyes closed for half a second like it was pure bliss…

He didn’t even realize he was staring until his own spoon hovered in mid-air, forgotten.

Then—without thinking—he reached out and gently wiped the tiny smudge of cream off her mouth with his thumb.

His touch lingered there for a heartbeat too long near her cheekbone before pulling back slowly… suddenly aware of how close they were sitting. How quiet it felt around them despite Haibara chugging milk against Nanami loudly nearby.

Y/n's cheeks flushed a soft pink as she swiftly took another bite...she was used to his flirty remarks and teasings. His hand was (presumably jokingly) resting against her cheek. His face soft as she just shook her head; as if shaking off a joke.

"No...i'm serious Y/n."

Y/n looked up at him with a single brow raised, and a "wtf are you doing?" expression painted across her face.

"Right...cut the gushy shit Satoru. That's cornyyyy..."

Before she could even take another bite of cheesecake, Satoru had shoved his face near hers...not a kiss, but also not unwelcoming to one. Y/n's eyes widened and...suddenly? She didn't know what to do. But. She knew how she felt.

She kissed him.

A soft, light peck on the lips, that communicated months long of tension between them...suddenly gone.

Satoru didn't know what to do. Feelings? THIS deep? And passionate? He looked over at Y/n. Her soft, yet vulnerable expression that screamed nervous. She was nervous. He was nervous. And instead of doing what most people would do, Satoru Gojo had never been taught what to do in this scenario. So he followed his first instinct.

"I'm...I'm so sorry Satoru-"

"What? You KISSED me?"

He let out a small laugh, his usual cocky tone, but now with an undertone of nervousness.

"You know I flirt with everyone, right?"

Y/n was a stuttering, apologetic mess. Her eyes took in the half eaten cheesecake, his usual shit eating grin, the soft chatter in the back from their other friends, and...now. What she had fucked up. No amount of apologies, or pleas, could fix what she had just done.

...

"Senseiiii...c'mon! Wake up!"

Satoru woke up to Itadori shaking his shoulder gently as he woke up in his office chair.

"You were calling us up here to talk about uhh...I think you wanted to talk about tomorrow's training!"

Itadori grinned as Kugisaki smacked him upside the head.

"No dummy! You were coming to him for advice on what to do for your crush! Y'know...Fushiguro???"

Oh yeah, that was right. He was a teacher. Someone who should now know what to do with romance now, 13 years later. Yet, he could only dream about what could've been.

Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College is introduced to us as a four-year school (unlike real life japanese technical colleges that usually have a five-year program) in chapter 17.

During the present timeline we are never shown the four-year students, and afaik they are also never directly mentioned.

I saw some claims online that in an old interview Gege has stated that during Gojo’s time, Jujutsu Tech actually lasted five years, and after he graduated, it was reduced to four. I have not found the source of this, not in the fanbook, nor in other interviews available online, nothing concrete.

In any case, I guess that, even if this was proven to be legit, it would add to the pile of retcons Gege did (consciously or not) because, as you are wading through the last part of the manga, you stumble upon this exchange:

And then this author comment that was featured alongside chapter 259:

This was written in response to the aforementioned exchange that happened two chapters prior (ch 257). In fact as you can see the "three" was later corrected in the japanese volume release (and other languages as well).

Haibara Yu’s Cursed Technique Headcanons!

It makes me sad that we have little to no information about his abilities makes me really sad 💔 so I yap about this to my friends usually but they got tired from my ass so I'm writing them down.

First headcanon: Plant Control

What can I say I love the gays… anyway.

I imagine him controlling little plants, specifically vines and roots but he could do more! I think that just like Hanami’s “Flower Field” he could use the flowers to distract enemies!

Also if he got older he would even have a domain expansion which would be called “The Meadow” that would make the enemies completely lose their guard and give time for Haibara to attack.

Also according to the wiki;

Yu's surname contains the kanji for "ashes" (灰はい, hai?) and "meadow" (原ばら, bara?), while his given name contains "masculine/excellence" (雄ゆう, yū?).

That were the idea came to me as well lol

Second Headcanon: Super Strength

He just throws hands just like Yuji.

Hands and legs all over the place, could've done a black flash of you asked me but you know he died… (my shayla 💔)

This headcanon kinda makes me happy cuz there's a possibility that Gojo would contact him to mentor Yuji and he would get involved in the story.

(As you can see I am indeed ignoring the fact that he is dead.)
