 As for the University of Oxford, plagiarism is defined to be presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. Covered under this definition is all published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form. This act is considered to be unethical for no one has the right to claim or appropriate other people’s discourse, expressions, ideas, judgments, knowledge, and wisdom. We can associate this shameless and unscholarly deed with academic dishonesty and breach of ethics in journalism. In graver term, it can be linked with robbery or stealing of other people’s constructive power to think and to produce relevant points and perspectives.

Others may find it difficult to formulate their own opinions or stand regarding the variety of matters they have to deal with, but mainly to resolve that unclear assessment is the reason why we are educated, why we are being feed up with skills in critical and analytical thinking and why we are obliged to think rationally with the personal resources we have.

Journalism will always be amalgamated with public trust, credibility and responsibility, thus it is the role of each and every journalist to uphold the integrity, principles and values greatly needed in their profession. It will not only make them commendable and plausible deliverers of news and views, but also, they will be able to establish the worth of intellectual honesty and fulfillment rooted in the concept of ethical standards.
