“Kip…” Will threw his arms around Kip Sabian, the two old friends sharking a warm embrace, years melting away in an instant.

“Welcome to being ‘all elite’, Will,” Kip whispered as they pulled away. “At least, once you’re done in Japan.”

Will nodded as the two men sat in metal folding chairs. “Soon enough, bruv.”

The silence they fell into was comfortable, familiar, almost nostalgic. Will looked over and studied Kip, taking stock of the man his friend had become. Kip shrugged. “Dunno. I’m usually mid-card at best, and, well…you’re Will Ospreay.” Kip held up a hand as soon as Will made to interrupt him. “Don’t try to tell me I’m not, but maybe someday we’ll wrestle.”

Will nodded and Kip slapped his thighs before standing. “Well, should let you get settled in. Welcome to the team.” He walked over to the door, Will following him. “Oh, and Will…” Kip leaned over and kissed him on the cheek before opening the door.

I sighed as I looked around the crypt. There was no way that psychic was correct. Because, according to her, the man I was destined to be with has been dead for over a hundred years.

“I’m an idiot,” I sighed as I turned to leave the crypt, but stopped as something sharp cut across my skin. Looking down, I saw a thin red line of blood across my arm beginning to trickle down. “Just great,” I muttered as I tried to cover the scratch.

A creak sounded behind me, but I saw nothing as I turned. “Of course not,” I said, shaking my head. “It’s an old crypt, of course it makes noise.”

Turning back towards the door, I started back towards it when something grabbed my wrist. Before I could react, My back was pinned to the wall by a tall silver-haired man. His hazel eyes looked down at me as his other hand wiped along my arm, collecting my blood on his fingertips. “What are you…?” Before I could finish my question, he brought the crimson covered digits to his lips, a pink tongue darting out to taste my blood.

Once he cleaned my blood off his fingers, I saw him shudder as a smile crept across his lips. “Beloved,” he growled, a British accent coloring his words. The way he said it made my stomach flutter, and his face came close to my neck. Before I could stop him, his lips were on my skin, and I could feel his teeth sinking into my throat. “Kip…” His name fell from my lips like a lost prayer, the feeling perfect in my mouth.

“Do you trust me? I looked up into the mismatched eyes of Malakai as I sat on his lap. 

“Intimately,” he said softly as he placed the straight razor in my hand. I took it in shaky fingers before swallowing hard and held it tightly. “You can do it, schatje.”

I nodded and stood, stepping into the bathroom to gather the needed other supplies. Before I could return, I felt Malakai’s strong arms around my waist. “I thought I was coming to you,” I laughed softly.

“The lighting is better in here,” he said gently before kissing my cheek, his beard tickling my skin for a final time.

“I’m going to miss that.” I turned and kissed him softly “Now are you absolutely sure?”

He nodded and smiled. “Of course, my love. I have full trust and faith in you.”

I smiled as I watched him cover his face in shaving cream before he sat, letting me be closer to his face. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.

“Breathe, schatje. You’ll do fine.” I looked in his eyes, but all I saw was pure trust which made my heart flutter.

“Yes sir,” I said softly before kissing his forehead and opening the straight razor. The process felt like it took days, but I knew that was just my nerves. For the whole time, his hand rested supportively on my hip as I kept my breathing steady and slowly slid the razor over his skin.

“Finished,” I said as I rinsed the razor and folded it shut. I wiped his face with a towel before I allowed him to stand and look in the mirror.
