Like I'm genuine serious wondering why, I have watched all 42 episodes of icebound and is now rewatching it for the second time, and I see absolutely nothing between them...Taishen isn't even Jornir's closest friend, if I were to make a list on who Jornir is most shippable with my list would be

-Queenie

-Barnabos

-Skrimm

-Taishen

Queenie, do you even need to ask? Barnabos because he greatly respects Jornir, Barnabos see him as a leader and look to him for direction. Skrimm...I guess their dynamic is just chaotically flavorful. And Taishen? Well...I guess he's there? I can't see anything between them I'm so genuine serious

When I watched icebound I can plainly see how Queenie and Jornir greatly care for each other, Queenie is less obvious because she cares about everyone so deeply, but you can tell she has very great care towards Jornir, her dynamic with him was already interesting since episode 1, then it just gets more interesting overtime, they were literally the mother and the father, Queenie could've died because she refused to leave Jornir when he chose to die because he thinks he has no chance of surviving...and Jornir? Don't even get me started, yes he generally somewhat care for everyone, but it especially shows when he's with Queenie, like they're literally married to me and I thought that most people would agree but I find that a lot more people ship Taishen and Jornir rather than Jornir and Queenie, which I don't really get why

Like if you take a look at how Jornir think of them

Okay, so he cares about Taishen, but this description is literally feels very surface level and not all that special, on the other hand

also! The whole sequence with Secundus transporting them all to an idealized version of their world was soooo well done, very funny, but also cruel

It’s cruel that in this version of the material plane, Daisy and Sigdis are conversing, as if PoW didn’t just kill Queenie, and Daisy hadn’t just shot her through the shoulder and had to deal with losing yet another sister

It’s cruel to make the iceborne go through the possibility of being surrounded by the people they trust, or are at least allied with, these calm perfectionists who are smoothed out; all their trials and hardships being rendered meaningless, personalities stripped from bodies who’ve slaved to survive

Its cruel but I love the new sides that we’re seeing of the party

Taishen manipulating the emotions of others, baiting them into his wanted reactions to serve a particular goal, however small

He knows how to push buttons now :)

Barnabos taking his anger and focusing it instead on defense instead of offense,, something about stepping aside from the leader role and learning to be ok with it all, let somebody else do the talking

Skrimm engaging with things a bit more head on, he feels a bit more rational now, not letting emotion consume him, not letting Fear take over instead using it as a guide possibly
