Alright so maybe he was exaggerating slightly when he claimed that the pair of them hadn’t hung around together in years; which in retrospect, would be nearly impossible since they’d only met less than a month prior. However, as Uriah shifts his gaze upwards from the food on his plate to his friend sitting across from him; he feels a wave of relief knowing that they’ve been reunited, despite Jonghyun’s busy schedules. There’s a faint smile that graces his lips as he returns his attention back to the food he’d been neglecting; the previous night having been filled with binge drinking and some reckless drug use that made for an empty stomach was almost painfully obvious by the way he’d been picking at his food at an excruciatingly slow rate. He nearly has to muster up what is left of his strength to lift up another fry, placing it between his teeth and taking a bite; chewing monotonously knowing that his stomach will reject the food almost the moment he swallows it. Honestly, he should have prepared for going out to eat better; and a night of blowing cocaine up his nostrils most certainly would ensure an empty stomach for at least the next twenty-six hours. Regardless, he wouldn’t dare blow off a day with one of the few people outside of his inner circle he can actually tolerate; Jonghyun, someone he jokingly refers to as his brother has quickly climbed the ranks in his books; transforming himself from just another face in the crowd to someone Uriah would potentially protect with his life.
Entranced in his own thoughts; he barely noticed when the other male shifted his position, moving his arm a bit too sporadically, knocking over the glass of lemonade that was once stationary on the table and now found a new home - in Uriah’s lap. Had there been a camera recording the incident, maybe he’d have gotten an award for how quickly he sprang up from his seat, jeans soaked from the liquid in perhaps the worst area possible; an immediate frown forming on his lips as his features darken into an irritable expression. "Fuckin’ hell!" He spits out the words in a venomous tone, eyes drifting towards Jonghyun as he raises an eyebrow, ”Care to help? Maybe fetch some napkins?”
