Jongin hadn’t really been asking to get yelled at today. Then again, when does anyone ever ask to get yelled at? No one. Probably. It’s not like Jongin had meant to jump..again. He was accident prone! Not everyone in Mount Phoenix apparently knew how dangerous it was for Jongin to uh..nearly die. Aphrodite, however, was one of the few people who did.
“It’s not like I meant to do this! I swear! I’m not lying!” Jongin protested to the goddess. He did not want to seem like a liar. Jongin was not simply the type to just lie to people. Most of the time he didn’t really remember what he could be lying about. Telling the truth was just easier. More simple. “I’m trying my best to stop it..I’m sorry..” Jongin added more softly as he looked at the floor, defeated.
Aphrodite gave a sigh. She was a selfish being, really, and she would seldom give a damn about anyone except for herself but Jongin was utterly senseless at times and it was infuriating. “You are a reckless fool, do you know that?” she continued, arms crossed over her chest as she glared over at the boy, “Usually, people will soften that question by saying ‘sometimes’, but ‘sometimes’ isn’t relevant in your case.”
A silence followed, as though Aphrodite were considering whether or not to smack him but she gave another heavy sigh, shaking her head. “Are you okay though, darling? Do tell me you’re not hurt,” she spoke, cherubic lips pressed together, “I’m going to make you a margarita. Calm your nerves.”
