Ben kissing Jong-Su right before his dying breath (during the clinging/hug part). Jong-Su still does the usual thing in canon (burns the car) BUT

He can’t get the kiss out of his head. It’s like him and Hae-Mi- but this relationship never came to be. Instead it’s frozen in time. The only thing shared was a kiss. And, of course, the fact he killed him.

He doesn’t understand why Ben would do that. What desperation causes a man to kiss so passionately their murderer? Why with one’s dying actions would they choose something so utterly useless?

Not a word was even spoken but Jong-Su considered it to be a confession. What other then love would drive a man to be so irrational?

But he did not love Ben back. Even as he dreamed of tender moments (that were never true) sometimes it’s him and Hae-Mi, sometimes it’s the three of them, sometimes it’s just him and Ben.

When it’s a nightmare someone always dies.

He’s not sure if he prefers the nights his sleep brings him dreams of being intertwined with Ben or when he burns Ben to death. They happen the same amount as each other- and sometimes in the same dream.
