She leaves a letter, handwritten in neat print. In her letter, she writes him everything about her family, everything she knows, all the connections, all the work her father had done. She puts it all on paper, and manages not to cry.
And then she goes on, and starts writing about how he has to let her go, how she's not safe, and how they're after her.
She tells him how much she loves him, how much their time together meant to her. She tells him that she won't forget him, and that she'll always love him, but it's okay to move on, to find another person.
She slips off her engagement ring, and leaves it in the envelope with the letter. She addresses it to him, and leaves it on their bed.
Revekka Crass leaves their home, never knowing she was pregnant.
