Thinking about Jon who just feels deeply, fully disconnected from its gender. Knowing viscerally all its life that it isn’t a man but viciously suppressing it because what are the other options? It knows it’s not a woman, either. I think it did encounter nonbinary people (probably while in college) and maybe wished it could claim that identity for itself, but felt unable to do so, and when the time came to enter the job market it ruthlessly stamped down those feelings too.
Anyway my point is Jon should transform into something fully and completely inhuman without any obvious recognizable gender and suddenly feel fully and completely itself for the first time in its life.

Instead of working on my Econ assignment I am thinking about Elias forcibly outing Jon to themselves.
Like egg enby/transfemme/trans woman Jon who's so fucking deep in denial until Elias forces her to confront her dysphoria and implants visions of what she would look like if she transitioned until she just can't deny it anymore.
Or enby Jon having all the times they felt drawn to it/they/whatever pronouns and being forced to confront the fact that this is what they want and need.
Or Elias hitting aro and/or ace Jon with what attraction ACTUALLY feels like and all the times being in a relationship and/or considering sex made them feel uncomfortable.
Just. Elias using his mental powers to force Jon to understand all the things they were keeping buried. The way he did it in the show too. Monologue and everything.

That post about Star Wars / Science Fiction really got me thinking about the comic book I wrote. So, you might want to read that post first before reading the rest of this. Some starting information on my story: humanity started anew on a different planet and enslaved the indigenous population.
I have thought a lot about whether or not it would be the right choice to have a species of aliens be the oppressed in my story and that post has reminded me once more. The oppression these aliens face is obviously based on racism and colonization, yet the majority of humanity in this story are PoC. Subsequently: in my story PoC are part of the oppressing group (humanity).
