Fans of The Matches were in for a treat on Monday night when the band played their second holiday show at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco on Dec. 28. The jubilant quartet never ran out of energy as they played a packed set (including two encores) for excited nostalgic fans. Many of them had attended the Matches’ first night at the Fillmore, some were locals and others had traveled far to see the act. They were not disappointed. Shawn Harris crowdsurfed to the stage to start off with “Life Of A Match” and that was only one of many crowdsurfing stunts he made that night. The Matches’ strong success comes after they announced their reunion-turned-comeback tour in 2014. Opening band Finish Ticket joined them on stage for the fitting performance of “More Than Local Boys.” Check out the band’s new EP here. View the full live gallery on Flickr.
