Going through my woodworking feeds on Instagram I keep running into people joining there wood and it looks incorrect, my impression there not doing it correctly, you don’t want to force the wood down onto the a joiner; it is meant to surface the material a planer is meant to Dimension your wood, a jointer never gives the best glue surface no mater how slow you run the material through. Yes cup side down is correct but run the wood with the grain!
