the prompts for #johnroseweek2019 is finally out! thank you everyone for your patience and suggestions; we tried to provide some interesting prompts that will hopefully encourage a lot of freedom and wiggle room!

SUN - 16 : fancytier & alchemization

john and rose have some really neat godtier outfits, but how far can you push these simple outfits into high-fashion and fancy as heck territory? // alternatively, with the power of alchemizing items and clothes together, what kind of ridiculous couple outfits would look best (or worse) on these two nerds?

MON - 17 : classpect swap & roleswap

lets switch things around and see how john and rose look in each other’s respective clothes... or even roles. kidswaps, anyone?

TUE - 18 : pale/ashen/pitch/flush

these prompts can apply to either human or troll grimdorks! feel free to apply any (or all!) as you see fit.

WED - 19 : favorite trope & AUS

there always those same cliches, tropes, and AUs that we fall back onto. from coffee shops fluff to doomed timeline angst, today is the day to go ham with your fanart/fiction favorites!

THU - 20 : date night & dancing

will this be their first date night? their 40th? their last? the melodrama is all in your hands. // if dating isn’t your thing, then how about dancing? let these two grimdorks bust a move or two.

FRI - 21 : pranks & magic

absolute tomfoolery or spellbound enigmas? slight of hand or the flick of a wand? how about both?

SAT - 22 : whatever you want.

Day 2: Kidswap

I haven’t drawn anything in 76 years and I’m really not into Homestuck anymore but it’s @johnroseweek and I can’t resist a good angel/demon AU.

Hello everyone! Johnmod & Rosemod here.

Unfortunately, as today is the last day of JohnRose week, that also means that it is the end of the era of me and Rosemod. We were the original creators and admins of this week, and we gotta say, it’s been an amazing 3 years! So much love and support has come out for this silly little idea, and words cannot express how happy that has made us.

(Of course, there was a fair deal of hate, too, but that’s not the point ;B)

What we are really happy about is the amount of people that, well, “came out of hiding” per say. It seems that this idea spurned a lot of new artwork and fanfictions for a ship that wasn’t seeing a lot of new content, as well as just Homestuck in general! We are extremely grateful for that! So many lovely drawings, ideas, and stories that may not have been created before. You all have done such an amazing job and we love you all for it.

We want to be really clear that this doesn’t have to be the end forever! People other than us are more than welcome to take over the reigns and lead into a new era of JohnRose.

Well, that’s to say, if people would really prefer us to keep the reigns? Maybe. Who knows? We sure as hell don’t.
