This is Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover. He was first known as a writer for “30 Rock” and an actor as well as a stand up comedian. The first time I ever say Donald was when I was 10 or 11 when I saw his stand up on Comedy Central. He was the funniest man to ever be on a Comedy Central 45 Stand Up, and after that,  I watched everyone I saw that came up to see if it was him. I found him again when I was 12.   I never forgot the name  Donald Glover, which says something, since I am ADHD and I forgot everything.  When I was 13, my boy Callum came up to me and was like  listen to this college rapper”. That's when my whole view on rap and life changed.  This photo of Childish speaks to his approach on his tracks and his art in a whole. The purple smoke gives  a Rick James type of grove look going on. But also, it’s kinda like a trippy modern day hippy.  

I think Rihanna did what she wanted to do on this album and did it well. Exploring a different type of sound, songs about partying, sex  drugs, and love  everything a rihanna fan would want from a rihanna album is delivered. “Anti” is definitely a win for Rihanna and I feel like it's gonna open up a whole new sound for her.  

Rihanna's new album “Anti” takes on and openly embraces her sexuality, her consistent consumption of expensive alcohol, and loud weed. Rihanna doesn’t let anyone down following up from her last album “Unapologetic” by keeping up the same tough, dark, twisted perspective of love that Rihanna loves to show. The first  couple of songs on the album are repetitive, catchy songs about passionate sex with a meaningful or meaningless man.  Songs like “Desperado” and “Work” are more suitable for a good workout tracks with repetitive and catchy hooks. If your were a fan of the last album you're gonna love anti, Rihanna does take a dive after track 10 “Never ending” . It goes into a more romantic kind of feel for Rihanna. “Love on the Brain” has a nice innocent ‘60s instrumental with filthy lyrics describing a very loose description of love.

The song (Superman)  was featured on his 2011 album Doggumentary, which was not only Snoop’s 11th studio album for Priority Records, but came in as number 8 on the U.S billboard chart, selling 50,000 copies in its first week in the U.S.  

Instruments used:  acoustic guitar, harmonica,  vocals provided by Snoop and Willie Nelson.

Superman falls into a kinda smooth folk funky style with Snoop's presence and style of singing. I like the vibe.  It also delivers an up tempo solo with the harmonica. The harmonica really supports the acoustic pattern that's not really broken. It also provides a more freestyle based input.    

Snoop brings a different,  more funky tone to the song. I think that Nelson  needed Snoop Dogg's style for this song so he could make it more of an upbeat silly reminiscence tune.  Nelson says in the beginning of each chorus “too many pain pills too much pot tryna be something that I'm not I ain't Superman”.Just from that first line,  the song makes sure it makes its tone felt. With the repeated chorus, the situations end up getting worse and worse for the artist,  starting with snoop blowing a tour and ending with him dying from having a little bit too much fun.
