In lesser hands than DC Fontana's, it would just be godawful, but as it is, I do giggle every time at the subplot around the random offscreen society of matriarchal tech specialists who reprogrammed the ship's computers to sound disturbingly sultry in "Tomorrow is Yesterday." When Captain Christopher is like "huh, the future has... interesting problems" I'm just cackling because it's TOS and do they ever. I only wish we'd gotten Uhura's reaction.
Kirk's ultimate solution to the wayward computer behavior being to basically monologue "I've destroyed multiple AIs and that number could include you. just theoretically" is spot-on, too.
