      Gotham had many costumed felons ranging from scarecrows to hatters, but Edward’s least favorite kind were clowns. Joker had no sense of order and doesn’t follow the rules, a cheat to the end. So to find him sitting, waiting, for the genius’s return to his very own hideout spelled out nothing but trouble. How did he get in?                                                              What a riddle...  It wasn’t like Riddler to leave anything unlocked.... With a state-of-the-art security system not even the bat would dare try penetrating it, it is nearly impossible to get in without the password.                                      What a riddle...  Surely HE couldn’t be smart enough to guess it.                     What a riddle...   ❝ Well, well, isn't this unexpected... Cannot say I'm particularly in the mood for your games, Joker. So lets hurry this along. How did you manage to get in? ❞ Edward asked, trying to hide as much irritation as possible. Joker is extremely dangerous after all and he wasn't looking to become a resident at Gotham's morgue.

The note beside it reads: “My name is Jack.”

“Don’t mention the scars, don’t mention the birds, don’t ask about the chemicals, don’t bring up fear. He’s a supervillain with a fear obsession and he has a really unpleasant personalty so let’s just make this quick.”

it’s *whispers* the inherent homoromanticism of seeing someone at their worst and most broken.
