9/8/24.
Peel Dream Magazine (Los Angeles...led by Joe Stevens) has been covered here before, but not sounding like this. This 4 song 7" sounds like a lost Beach Boys 7". Or it reminds me of The High Llamas. Or late era The Pastels. Or any number of awesome Japanese acts - Tenniscoats, Kenji Kariu, Satoshi Suzuki, Hallelujahs or Nagisa Ni Te.
I know that's a lot, but this is really that good, and that smooth and relaxing.
Slumberland initially released this as a bonus 7" with the "Pad" release, but recently found a box of overruns. Best thing that happened today.

Do you know The Civility of Albert Cashier (2017) ?
Yes, I’ve been in it
Yes, I’ve seen it
Yes, I’ve listened to it
No, but I’ve heard of it
No, never heard of it

Peel Dream Magazine @peeldreammagazine were one of my lockdown finds so I've been waiting a couple of years for them to come over. As this was their first time in the UK I was hoping for a few more older tunes but I guess that would have been a super long setlist so I was happy with a couple of oldies and tracks from their latest album. If you've not listened to them, & you're into the same stuff as me then go take a listen. Each album has it's own feel, the 1st two vering more to a MBV/Stereolab vibe and the lastest a laid back avant pop sound.Â
