Here’s my little introduction thingy ^_^

My name is Jocelyn and I’m one of the people that helped Shay start up Milsotherapy. Gosh that was back in 2013..how the time has flown!

I just turned 22 last month and currently reside at Camp Pendleton, CA with my husband! 2012 - 2015 we were LDR and we’re excited for this new chapter in life.

I’m a Pacific Islander born in the PNW. I’m a military brat and ping ponged back and forth from coast to coast. I think the longest I’ve stayed in one place is 5 years. 😱

I recently just graduated college and looking to go back to school for another degree for Business. I currently work in corporate sales and social media management. I’m hoping that soon I can start up my photography business and do that full time. 📷💕

I don’t think marriage gets in the way of college. But there is more to the story..

I’m sure most people have to pick and choose because it also uproots them. I would have been away from my family and overseas struggling with a lack of college options. If I would have stayed the entire assignment in the mainland, that’s my first 2 years of marriage no where near my husband. And I realized that when I got married, my place would be with my husband. But I wasn’t ready to uproot myself and leave the college I wanted to go to and be back home. It was too much transition for me and I wasn’t ready. 

And ah don’t get me started on how I could not afford a wedding with no job. I’m so happy we waited it out and had time to save, I could get my degree, he could get promoted, all before we got married. 

Hey anon, 

This is something my husband and I constantly talk about. He jokes around too much sometimes and doesn’t show his affection. And I’ll have to confront it that it’s getting old and you need to express yourself better I.E. COME HERE AND LOVE ME…lol And it’s a work in progress. He’s doing better. I’ve learned to watch my tone of voice when I express myself and give him and myself time to learn and improve.  I don’t expect things to happen overnight. But it’s taking time and we’re both becoming better people :) so just go ahead and give your SO to express his love but also better himself. I do highly suggest reading THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES, which will help you both realize how you GIVE and RECEIVE love. Most definitely recommend!

But to answer your question, how my husband does me he loves me: 

helping out and doing some of my chores – I couldn’t tell you how much a clean home makes me happy. This gesture in particular makes me happy and feel loved because we’ve come so far in our communication.  Not all of the housework is on me and I work full time if not longer hours than he does. We’ve gone through dividing chores, to picking up after each other, and learning not to get mad but help each other out and upkeep the home. I think this is the biggest thing couples fight about. We’ve been there! And knowing that our sit down talks, exercises to make us better and organized, and him realizing that not all the housework is put on the wife have paid off… and we are in a better place in life. Gosh I remember actual arguments about “why isn’t dinner made?” “can you PLEASE pick up your socks?!” “You seriously put your dish away and saw dishes in the sick and didn’t do dishes?!” and now we just pick up after each other because that’s what couples do: they put 100% into it.

My name is Jocelyn and here’s a pic with my husband, Vincent, who helps out on the blog from time to time.

We currently are on a new adventure at Camp Pendleton, CA🌴 I’m 21 and my husband is 22. We’re both military brats and learning how to adult with the Marine Corps lol. We have one small Pomeranian named Zeus that’s a big ball of fluff. I like cooking, lord of the rings, tattoos, and collect coffee cups. ☕️

Right now I’m working in a career toward corporate business management/sales and social media marketing. I’m an aspiring lifestyle and wedding photographer 👰🏻📷. I look forward to going back to school for another degree toward business/marketing. 📚🎓

I am one of the admins that helped start Milsotherapy back in 2013. It’s been a unique journey and can’t wait to see what 2016 holds. 🎉

I’m sure most of you are spending time with families and loved ones, but I’ll be on the blog tonight ON A LAPTOP to clear out this inbox. 

Vincent and I cleaned the downstairs. We’re hosting our first Thanksgiving as a married couple and having company over! My turkey is brining. Vincent won’t let me play his xbox lol, so I’m here watching him play Deadpool. 

I want to thank everybody for being so kind and patient with us. I still have no idea why the app hasn’t been working and I’ve been crazy busy with work with the end of the month approaching and Thanksgiving/Black Friday has been havoc for my clients. But I requested Black Friday off so I have a 4 day weekend with the hubs and more time at home. So hopefully I’ll be on more this weekend. 

But yeah that’s an update with me lol.

idk. I just see everybody here as a family. I’m always down for ladies coming here and introducing themselves and you are always welcomed to ask the admins questions to get to know us better! 

I don’t want y’all to see me as just an admin here. But someone you can feel comfortable opening up to and getting to know better. I know this is random but just thought I’d throw it out there!

first off, I just want to say thank you so much everybody for being so understanding with MT right now. That inbox is piling up and unfortunately we’ve all been pretty busy with our work and personal schedules to fully dedicate time.

Thank you all for having a positive attitude, leaving us positive messages and politely letting us know if messages have been received. I am seriously loving all the positive vibes I’m getting after not being able to be on the blog. 

Vincent and I attempted to answer questions after we got home from work but we both got home pretty late. He has been hauling ass in his new unit that this week has been super crazy for him before he goes into his field op next week. As for me, I’m still going through training for my new job and attended a company event after work so we didn’t have as much time as we expected before our eyes got droopy. 

Besides work, we really just use the weekend to catch up on sleep, dedicate some couple time getting out of the house, and getting ready for another week. We are still testing the waters with both of us working to the point our work out schedules are out of whack, might need to kick our new slow cooker into gear for dinner, and trying to hit the hay earlier. 

I guess that’s a little update for the couple on MT. 

I’m going to head for bed, just wanting to keep yall in the loop of things!
