"You don’t mean that. I know you don’t." Joey said with an obvious shake in his voice. He was on the verge of breaking down and crying. His best friend was telling him that she hated him, that the first girl he ever fell in love with despised him, that she probably never wanted to see him again. Joey could feel his heart breaking in his chest. "Please say you don’t mean it. C’mon, Immy. You’re my best friend…" He said trying to reach out to hold her. He was willing to do anything to make it all better.
