“Well, well!” Evi wears her typical lopsided smirk as her cousin approaches. She sits on a bench, having arrived early, and makes no moves to rise, instead giving Jo a surveying glance. “Here I thought I was the party animal and then there you go, asking for a ten-thirty meet up time. And arriving late.” The elder witch gives a tut of faux disapproval then, shaking her head. “Did I interrupt something? A date? Some secret inner circle festival — which reminds me, I’m pretty sure I just saw Nina Ismail. Sent chills up my back. Couldn’t believe it.” Finally, Evi hands over the confections she’d been harboring to herself. Call it a reward for enduring the teasing. “Rum punch. Because I like you. And cotton candy, though that could be complete kak now. Kept me waiting so long I bet it’s stale.” Bored of her own toying, Evi rises from the bench, sighing and nudging her cousin’s shoulder as they begin their meandering through the festivities. She’s more chipper than usual in weather like this. Blame the falsity of the snow. Or maybe how content she is to have her present company. “How’re you, anyway? Your boss still a regular bliksem even after the holidays? That hexing offer still stands, by the way. I’ve got some thoroughly charmed holly right now that I think you should seriously consider.”
