Guess the GM wanting what he wanted from this team is still not know publicly... Lin is like every player who has found defects in his game styling and has made adjustments especially since key players are either out for the season or hurt/injured .. So knowing that other teams plan ahead to 'smothering defense at the end' shows a lot to both Lin and Coach Scott... Strategy thus far getting averages up and percentage increase overall in the teams effectiveness since the GM made his point very clear for this team.. Therefore stating that Lin has lost is an understatement since its about how to approve self effectiveness and team stats til lottery time. So as far as Lin's gaming, he has to prove that he can lead the team beyond just assistance which everyone believes Lin is only good for.
