@warriore​ - (you liked the ice cream post a long time ago!) he appreciates meena caldwell's company plenty: not only is meena simply a kind and patient host, her home is enjoyable and pleasing to the eye, and her cooking is delicious and familiar. he has always wanted to repay her, somehow- perhaps a traditional meal of the echidnas? helping around the house without her knowledge?- but meena had simply refused his offers. it's okay, she'd say, you're a guest. it's only expected of us.

but he still wants to repay her. so, after insisting that she brought the both of them to a nearby ice-cream store, and after insisting that he buys for the both of them, he comes back. a vanilla cone with sprinkles is held in his dominant hand, and in his other- a cheesecake flavoured ice cream. "the castellas were delicious," he says, offering that same cheesecake ice cream to her. "take it. we must delight in a good, peaceful day."

Truthfully, she had been hoping, that her objecting to offerings, wouldn’t put such a strain between their friendship. Meena always held a preference of giving over receiving, still she was much aware of the echidna’s stubborness. She had kept this in mind, one way or another.

If just for today, in this indeed, cozy day, she’ll let this pass by & let him handle things with the workers in that ice cream store. 

After choosing a pretty quiet spot, a little away from most disturbances, talks from Green Hill’s citizens, the teenager patiently awaited the return of Knuckles, whomst didn’t seem to have trouble finding her amidst grass and flowers.

Hearing his voice, what is being said towards her, she’d remove peripheral vision off the plants, in favor of focusing on him. 

‘‘If you ever want to try something, we can do it together’‘, wheter its food or an Earthly activity he ends up being curious of.

Ah yes, the castellas. A thin smile settles ‘pon Meena’s visage, much glad those had been to Natke’s liking.

Its a good time today, indeed. Very quiet, & she hardly mind the surroundings sounds. Just folks having fun, no need to go ruin their day. That said, she finally did grab what is being offered, what has been bought even. 

Still, one thought pass her.
