Warmth(ie Sam's Cuddle Fic)
Ray didn't know exactly how he had ended up in a bed next to JJ. He was caught in JJ's infinitely warm grasp, it seemed to surround him everywhere even if it wasn't physically possible. He did know it had to be the highlight of his absolutely terrible day.
JJ chuckled as Ray nuzzled his head against his chest. Ray couldn't get enough of the other man's bitter scent and unusual heat. He was secretly hoping to be engulfed by JJ so he could forever be surrounded by the amazing phenomenon of warmness that was JJ's body. It wasn't just a physical warmth, it was also something mental. It was mental warmth that chased away his problems and allowed him to just focus on JJ’s perfection. He somehow felt full and content.
Ray didn't care if it was probably the hottest day of the year and that it wasn't a very good idea to be cuddling without any air conditioning on but it was like their bodies were a perfect fit for each other no matter the temperature (that and only Joel knew how to turn on his very confusing air conditioning system).
The door clicked open and there was a rumble from the AC but the two on the bed only moved from their position on the bed to try to get closer to each other even though it was impossible as they were already too close. Joel leaned on the doorframe smiling at the rare sight in front of him. It wasn't often that the pair actually settled their disputes and just cuddled.
He entered the room and started to strip out of his clothes to get in on the action, it would be quite a while before the AC actually took effect. Joel carefully as to not disturb the two men got on the bed behind Ray. He wrapped his long limbs around the two pulling them towards him. What seemed impossible was now possible Ray could feel like they were all closer to each other, more than they ever where, more than he ever was with just JJ.
Ray sighed in bliss. If he just felt full and content with JJ, he felt like he was in heaven with both of them. Suddenly everything that seemed bad in the world and everything that had brought him down that day was forgotten and all he could think about was how perfect the current moment was.
