Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) during its 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) showcased a new Mixed Reality solution, called Jio Glass. . “Jio Glass is at the cutting edge of technology that provides best-in-class Mixed Reality services to give users a truly meaningful immersive experience,” said Kiran Thomas (President, RIL). . The Jio Glass will weigh 75 grams and will need to be connected to a smartphone with a cable to power it and will support upto 25 applications with more apps to join later. . Regarding its use and features, one can make holographic video calls using Jio Glass. It can also be used for meetings, share presentations, design discussions and collaborations using live chat feature along with other fun things too. It will also allow to conduct holographic virtual 3D classrooms which makes learning more interesting and fun. . Still we have no details yet about pricing or availability and will be updated later. Jio Glass is similar to Google Glass which was planned earlier but it never worked and did not reach the final consumers. At the event, the corporate didn't reveal the pricing and therefore the availability details about the merchandise. However, he demonstrated how Jio Glass would work when it became available to the general public. RIL has stated that the new Jio Glass is intended to enable 3D virtual rooms for teachers and students and to conduct holographic classes in real time through the Jio Mixed Reality service aside from this, they will even be wont to perform virtual meetings.
