Jungkook tries to teach Jimin how to canoe for the first time pretty please
Disclaimer: I don’t know a thing about canoeing except for what WikiHow says.

Boat Mishaps535 words
Of course Jungkook had to show off. He was supposed to be the maknae that was good at everything, so why not show his crush, Jimin, how to canoe?
“Oh, yeah, it’s totally easy,” he had told Jimin the night before, so, so confidently as they and their five mutual friends sat around the campfire. “I’ll show you, hyung. You and I can go together.”
Smooth.
But he ate his words on the actual day of canoeing, because he didn’t know a thing at all.
“Where do I sit, Jungkook-ah?” Jimin asked after putting on his life vest.
“Um—” Jungkook cut himself off to gasp when Jimin tried to step onto the canoe, only for the thing to wobble, not quite secure in its perch on the dirt shore.
Jungkook grabbed him by the arm and pulled him against his chest.
“It’s not ready… yet,” Jungkook said lamely.
“You said it was five minutes ago.” Jimin stared at him with a confused frown.
“R-Right. I meant—” Jungkook felt a drip of sweat slide down the back of his neck. “Anyway, you should sit at the stern—no, bow. It’s bow.”
“Okay… so the bow is—”
“It’s—” His last-minute studying failed him. “The end of the boat.”
Jimin sighed and pulled away. “Which one? Jungkook… you’re not making this easy…”
Jungkook’s heart sank. He was digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole. He definitely didn’t count on Jimin being annoyed with him.
“Sorry,” he muttered. “I just—”
“You don’t know what you’re doing, do you?”
Jungkook opened his mouth to counter him, but then thought better of it. He fumbled too much. He lied. He tried to be cooler than he really was. Jimin was out of his league.
“Not at all,” he replied meekly instead, lowering his gaze with embarrassment.
“Why go through the trouble?” Jimin asked softly.
“I wanted to impress you,” Jungkook answered, with a nervous scratch at the back of his neck. “And there’s hardly any one-on-one time with everyone around, and I thought that if we were out in the water, then I could have some alone time with—ugh, it’s stupid. I’m sorry, hyung.”
“You wanted alone time with me?”
Jungkook nodded, still unable to look at him. “I like you, hyung. And I know I ruined everything, so…” He gulped. “Just let me down easy and I’ll just go on my way—”
“What? Hold on!” Jimin exclaimed. There was laughter in his voice. “Jungkook-ah.”
Jimin’s hands glided into Jungkook’s vision, cupping his cheeks, gently bringing his face up until they were eye-to-eye.
He smiled, and Jungkook’s heart skipped a beat.
“Y-Yeah?” he managed in barely more than a whisper.
“Forget the canoeing thing, okay?” Jimin told him. “It doesn’t have to be our first date.”
Wait, what?
Jimin giggled prettily at his gaping look. “Yes, Jungkook-ah. I know you like me.”
He leaned closer. Jungkook hitched a breath. His face tingled with Jimin’s closeness, and it bloomed with warmth when their foreheads touched.
He likes me, too.
“You don’t have to be ‘cool’ around me,” Jimin reassured him in a low voice. “I rather have this awkward, nerdy bunny instead.”
Jungkook scoffed, mildly offended. “Awk—”
Jimin shut him up with a kiss.

Geared Up93 words
Jimin let out a scream and darted away to hide behind a nearby grotto.
“Jimin,” Jungkook chuckled, his voice muffled through the regulator. He reached out with an empty gloved hand, turning it palm side up to show he wasn’t going to harm him. “Jimin, it’s me, Jungkook! It’s okay!”
The merman peered back out, half his face in view. He was glaring with suspicion and confusion, and Jungkook realized that maybe he should have familiarized his lover with parts of the scuba gear at a time instead of just coming out fully adorned.

Trickle144 words
“I can’t believe there aren’t any seats inside,” Jungkook groaned, as he followed Jimin to the covered tables outside on the patio, both with sundaes in hand.
“Can’t blame them,” Jimin said. “It’s summer and everyone wants something ice cold–oh hey, this one is clean. Is this okay?”
Jimin turned around, spoon halfway in his mouth after taking a spoonful. If it were anyone else, Jungkook would call them out on being messy, but Jimin…
He found his eyes glued to the drop of melted vanilla ice cream trickling from the corner of his mouth and gulped.
“Jungkookie. Coming?”
“A-Almost,” Jungkook blurted out without thinking, his face heating up. “I-I mean–” Wait, what else was there to mean? “–Yeah!”
Jimin looked at him as he sat down. Jungkook hoped he would be oblivious, but his skin crawled with embarrassment when his hyung smirked instead.
